    Abstract: A tilt adjustment method for an optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus in which a signal is recorded on or reproduced from a disk using an optical pickup. In an optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus which uses an optical pickup having a tilt adjustment coil for adjusting the tilt of an objective lens, the errors contained in a signal reproduced from the disk are counted each time the tilt voltage to be supplied to the tilt adjustment coil is changed. When an appropriate count value is obtained, the tilt voltage at this state is determined to be an optimum tilt voltage.
