  • Patent number: 7724241
Abstract: The invention relates to touch panels for use in a variety of electronic apparatuses, and designed to prevent separation of a lower substrate and an antireflection layer, and to ensure reliable operation. An undercoat layer (9) made of any of silicon oxide and a compound having a principal ingredient of silicon oxide is disposed between the antireflection layer (5) and the lower substrate (2) made of glass having the same principal ingredient of silicon oxide, to improve strength of adhesion between the lower substrate (2) and the antireflection layer (5), thereby preventing separation of the antireflection layer (5) from the lower substrate (5), and providing the touch panel with reliable operation.

  • Patent number: 7679608
Abstract: The touch panel has a light-transmissive upper substrate, a light-transmissive lower substrate, and a bonding layer. The lower surface of the upper substrate is formed thereon with an upper conductive layer. The top surface of the lower substrate is formed thereon with a lower conductive layer facing the upper conductive layer with an air gap. The bonding layer is formed on at least one of inner edges of the lower surface of the upper substrate and the top surface of the lower substrate, and additionally has an open groove communicating with the air gap. The makeup provides a touch panel reliably operable with a simple structure.

  • Patent number: 7439466
Abstract: A touch panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a plurality of insulating grooves. The first substrate has a first conductive layer, and a plurality of first electrodes that extend from both ends of the first conductive layer and that have first electrode lead sections. The second substrate has a second conductive layer, and a plurality of second electrodes that extend form both ends of the second conductive layer and that have second electrode lead sections. The insulating grooves are provided in at least one of the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer between any one of the first electrode lead sections and the second electrode lead sections. This structure provides a touch panel having a smaller pitch between the first electrode lead sections or between the second electrode lead sections and having stable electrical insulation and connection.

  • Patent number: 6903729
Abstract: A touch panel has a first transparent substrate with a first transparent conductive layer, and a second transparent substrate with a second transparent conductive layer. Color of the touch panel has a b* value of 2.0 or smaller with respect to the L*a*b* color specification in accordance with JIS Z 8729. At least one of the first and second transparent substrates is provided with a color adjustment layer providing optical interference. The touch panel may further have a third transparent substrate provided with a color adjustment layer, or a third transparent substrate containing a colorant having color complementary to a color of the transparent conductive layer. The touch panel has a less yellowish appearance, and shows minimal color change of a color display device. When attached on a liquid crystal display device in an electronic apparatus, the electronic apparatus exhibits a high grade color display without a sense of incompatibility.
