  • Publication number: 20090308190
Abstract: A power transmission apparatus for press machine according to the invention transmits rotational power from a drive shaft to a driven shaft. The apparatus has at least two drive gears arranged along an axial direction and substantially integrally attached to the drive shaft, a driven gear substantially integrally attached to the driven shaft, and an idle gear rotatably supported on an idle shaft and having a gear meshing with the driven gear and a plurality of gears corresponding respectively to the at least two drive gears. The idle gear can be displaced relative to the drive gear along the axial direction of the idle shaft to cause one of the at least two drive gears and corresponding one of the plurality of gears of the idle gear to mesh with each other selectively.

  • Patent number: 7152523
Abstract: A drive mechanism drives a slide in a cycle along a centerline. The slide includes a press center symmetrical with a frame centerline. A frame includes guides aligned with the press center and the slide to eliminate rotative force upon the slide during operation and increase precision. The drive mechanism includes a first and a second link coupling a main gear to a crank shaft to lower a slide speed near a bottom dead center position and increase a slide speed near a top dead center thereby increasing a press force at the bottom dead center position and speeding cycle turn.

  • Patent number: 6672448
Abstract: A transfer device having high productivity and is compact. The present invention uses cross bars that have a blank attachment member that are suitable for transferring large blank materials that, prior to processing, do not have rigidity. These large blank materials have a tendency to sag in the center and are difficult to transport. The present invention also jointly uses fingers that are suitable for rapid transport of blank materials that, after processing, are molded and have rigidity.

  • Patent number: 6604402
Abstract: A transfer device combines an advance-return drive mechanism and a clamp-unclamp drive mechanism. The transfer device operates from only one side of a press to position both drive mechanisms above a pair of feed bars thereby greatly reducing spatial constraints and costs and enabling an increase in speed. The feed bars operate to process a work piece along a process direction. The feed bars are cantilevered from the transfer device for easy use with a press, raw materials feeder, and product gatherer.

  • Patent number: 6530467
Abstract: A plurality of shuttle bars are guided in a feed direction below a guide body. The shuttle bars are spaced to fit between a plurality of conveyor belts which transport a sheet of material suspended below them toward a press. The guide body is lowered to move the shuttle bars far enough between the conveyor belts to disengage the sheet of material from the conveyor belts. The shuttle bars each includes a device for attachment to the sheet of material, whereby the sheet of material is conveyed the remainder of the way to the press attached to the shuttle bars.

  • Publication number: 20010020569
Abstract: The present invention is a transfer device for transferring large blank materials through multi-stage processing by engaging and employing both a crossbar-type and a finger-type transfer device. The cross-bar type transfer device includes a blank attachment member, adaptable to specific blank shapes, that enables transfer of large blank materials without sufficient rigidity for quicker or simpler transport methods. The finger-type transfer includes multiple fingers suitable for rapid transport of blank materials that, after initial processing, have sufficient rigidity for rapid transport.

  • Patent number: 4562907
Abstract: A wet-type clutch/brake device is housed about a rotatable shaft within a recess in a flywheel. A cylinder member surrounds the shaft at a position between a brake and a clutch of the device and is urged toward the brake by springs. Air is introduced into a cylinder chamber to urge the cylinder member against the force of the springs toward the clutch. A cover member closes the open end of the recess, and an oil supplying passage extends through the cover member into the recess to supply lubricating and cooling oil to the brake and clutch.

  • Patent number: 4434646
Abstract: A C-frame press includes a C-shaped frame having a crown part and a bed part defining an opening therebetween, and spacers positioned in the opening and being sufficiently long for urging the crown part and the bed part apart in the vertical direction a distance sufficient to cause the frame to exert on the spacers a load which is at least a substantial part of the normal maximum press load exerted by the press on a workpiece. The press further has a slide reciprocal between the crown part and the bed part, a main shaft having a flywheel thereon and positioned laterally of the slide within the frame, eccentric discs rotatably mounted within the frame and driven from the main shaft, connecting rods extending substantially horizontally from the eccentric discs towards the upper portion of the slide and reciprocated by the eccentric discs, and a toggle mechanism mounted between the slide and the crown part and having a central shaft portion to which the connecting rods are connected.
