    Abstract: A polishing sheet, having polishing particles fixed to a base sheet in a single-layer formation by an adhesive agent so as to be mutually separated in the direction of their plane and having cutting edges exposed and arranged to be coplanar, is produced by forming on a provisional base sheet a film of a provisional adhesive agent of a thickness smaller than the average diameter of the polishing particles, dispersing the polishing particles onto the film of the provisional adhesive agent so as to contact the provisional base sheet, pressing the base sheet covered with the adhesive agent onto the polishing particles with the adhesive agent facing towards the polishing particles, hardening the pressed adhesive agent, and removing the provisional base sheet and the film of the provisional adhesive agent. The polishing particles are charged in a same polarity when dispersed.

    Abstract: A bolt tightening device includes bolt tightening mechanisms, a torque input unit, a toothed belt and torque transmission units. The torque transmission units are provided with toothed pulleys and are integrated with the bolt tightening mechanisms. A toothed pulley is fixed to the torque input unit, and drivably connected to all the toothed pulleys of the plural torque input units by the single toothed belt. Torque input to the torque input unit is transmitted to the bolt tightening mechanisms by the toothed belt, and used to simultaneously tighten, for example, seven bolts. Because, torque can be simultaneously transmitted to plural bolt tightening mechanisms using a single belt, the number of components is reduced and the size, weight and cost are reduced and ease of use is improved.

    Abstract: An apparatus for holding a disk with a central hole has a front rod which is received in a chuck so as to be able to move along its axis. The chuck is slidably received between the inner surface of a cylinder and the outer surface of the front rod. The front rod has on its front end an inverted truncated cone of which the maximum outer diameter is smaller than the diameter of the opening in the disk. When a part of the chuck is protruding from the cylinder, the disk can move past a bulge formed on the chuck and positioned on an expander. When the front rod is retracted into the cylinder, the inverted truncated cone moves inside the front end of the chuck so as to spread the chuck until it touches the inner surface of the opening of the disk, and the chuck is retracted along with the front rod so that the disk is firmly grasped and held between the front end of the cylinder and the bulge.
