  • Patent number: 5872746
Abstract: A clock timer having a face comprising a mouth, eyes, a nose, and an arm secured to the nose. Rotation of the nose turns a shaft which, via a camming mechanism, forces a plate housed within the clock upward. As the plate moves upward, a rack formed in the plate drives a gear mechanism which rotates the mouth and eyes from a smiling orientation to a frowning orientation. Rotation of the shaft also rotates a timer housed within the clock. Upon expiration of the timer the shaft is rotated in the opposite direction, thereby lowering the plate, driving the gear mechanism, and rotating the mouth and eyes from their frowning orientation to their smiling orientation, and activating a bell housed in the timer.

  • Patent number: 4516648
Abstract: A child's motor powered vehicle utilizes a unidirectional electric motor supported on a drive shaft which carries at its ends drive members which are engageable with either one of a pair of radially spaced drive surfaces on the drive wheels. Control levers support the drive shaft adjacent its ends and are pivotally supported on the vehicle so that they may effect movement of the drive shaft end portions and the drive elements from one drive surface to another to effect a reversal in the direction of rotation of the drive wheels. The drive surfaces are conveniently provided by axial walls of a concentric channel on the inner face of the drive wheels.

  • Patent number: 3954267
Abstract: Improved action is provided in an air powered game wherein the puck glides on a cushion of air by providing the puck with an annular bumper member of resiliently deformable resin to impact and resiliently rebound from the side boundaries of the playing surface. The puck is comprised of a body member of rigid resin providing an upstanding circular wall and an annular shoulder thereabout. The annular bumper member seats about the circular wall on the annular shoulder and projects outwardly of the periphery of the body member. The game table surface is provided with a pattern of spaced perforations through which air escapes and the puck is dimensioned and configured to provide a recess in its bottom surface which will overlie sufficient of the perforations as to be subjected to air streams effectively overcoming the weight of the puck member and thus providing minimal frictional surface resistance to movement of the puck member.
