  • Patent number: 10731122
Abstract: A bottom surface of a container (1) formed of a flexible material is partially raised to be partitioned it into plural compartments (10), and cells are cultured in each compartment (10). In due time, the compartments (10) are removed to expand a culture area in the container. As a result, the cell density at the time of culture can be maintained at an appropriate level, and an operation of transferring cells from one culture container to another culture container at the time of proliferating cells in a large amount can be eliminated, whereby damage on cells and risk of contamination can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20180002651
Abstract: A method of transferring a liquid between multiple containers in cell culture. A first container of multiple culture containers each having a port for transferring content, a three-way stopcock and a medium supply container having one port are connected by a tube, and one pump is arranged therebetween; when the number of containers in the multiple culture containers is two, the three-way stopcock and a second culture container are connected by a tube; when the number is three or more, a three-way stopcock is newly provided between the immediately connected culture container and the three-way stopcock, and connection of the newly provided three-way stopcock and a subsequent culture container by a tube is repeated, whereby all culture containers are connected to the three-way stopcock; and the culture medium is transferred from the medium supply container to each container in the multiple culture containers via the three-way stopcock by the pump.

  • Patent number: 9741110
Abstract: There is provided a cell culture evaluation system, a cell culture evaluation method, and a cell culture evaluation program which are capable of estimating and evaluating the lag time or the minimum doubling time and objectively and adequately determining whether or not a cell population is stimulated for proliferation by using an average projected area of a cultured cell population or the rate of increasing the ratio of the non-single-cells as an evaluation parameter when culturing the cells. Images of the cell population to be cultured statically are acquired in a culture vessel, the average projected areas of the cells are calculated from the images for the respective culture times, and the lag times at lag phase are calculated from the calculated average projected areas of the cells.

  • Publication number: 20170073626
Abstract: A cell culture method conducted by supplying a culture medium together with cells to a container (1), an upward movement step in which the container is moved upward to a position higher than the initial position and a downward movement step in which the container that has been moved upward is returned to the initial position, and vibration is applied to the container that has been returned to the original position are repeated, whereby a content liquid in the container is stirred. As a result, a good culture environment is maintained by conducting stirring such that distribution of cells and concentration of components of a culture medium in a content liquid become uniform, while reducing damage on cells by shear stress, and adherence of cells to the inner wall or excessive agglomeration is suppressed by stirring, whereby proliferation of cells can be promoted.
