    Abstract: A flange 52b is provided on a plate by bending the plate, the flange being substantially orthogonal to the plate, and a recessed portion, where the flange is missing, is provided between two flanges. A flange 62c is provided by bending another plate, and a raised portion is provided which protrudes from a parallel side 62b to flange 62c at an end portion of flange 62c. An end portion of flange 52c and end portion of flange 62c are abutted, and end portion of plate 60 is abutted to an outer side of the circular arc portion of flange 52b from the plate. The raised portion is abutted to the recessed portion, and respective abutted portions are welded. Where two plates in which a flange is provided by bending the plate are intended to be welded, the occurrence of a space in a welding portion can be prevented.

    Abstract: The invention provides a friction stir welding method with less weld defects upon welding a butted portion between a first member and a second member. A first member 10 is butted against a second member 20, and then a round-bar buildup member 30 is pressed against the upper surface of the butted portion and rotated to weld a buildup bead 35 thereon. The buildup bead corresponds to a projection of the prior art friction stir welding method. Next, a pin 51 of the rotary tool 50 is inserted to the butted portion to perform friction stir welding. According to this method, the buildup bead 35 corresponds to a projection and fills the space formed to the butted portion, so a good weld joint is formed and the generation of defects is suppressed.

When incremental forming is completed, the tool on the spindle is replaced with a straightening tool 200, and hot air is blown out from the straightening tool 200 to anneal the edge lines 20a and 20b of the form portion 20 and to eliminate process strain.

    Abstract: A composite panel having a non-adhesion portion is mounted on a stationary table and a bending table and is fixed thereto by vacuum adsorption pads. An upper portion bending table is mounted on a face sheet providing the non-adhesion portion. The face sheet is secured using the vacuum adsorption pad on the bending table. The bending table is rotated, so that the face sheet is bent. The center core member is cut with a V-shape. An adhesion agent is coated. Next, by rotating the lower bending table, the other face sheet and the center core member are bent so that the core member is adhered to the upper face sheet. Without causing a gap between a face sheet and a center core member and a partial contact, an integral bending processing of a flat sheet shape composite panel can be realized. In addition to this, to assurance adequate strength in a bending processing portion of the composite panel, it is unnecessary to provide a separate member and the like.

A circular arc portion of a flange is processed in a state in which it is clamped by the female die and the tool, so that the circular arc portion of the flange is not spread outside and the perpendicularity between the flange of the circular arc portion and the bottom can be increased.
