    Abstract: A temperature control apparatus includes: a first pressure bonding unit which includes a first flow passage and a first pressure bonding surface which is to be brought into contact with an object; a temperature control fluid supply device which supplies a temperature control fluid in form of gas to the first flow passage in such a manner that the temperature control fluid is condensed on an inner wall surface of the first pressure bonding unit that partitions the first flow passage to adjust the first pressure bonding surface to a first heating temperature; and a pressure adjustment device which lowers an internal pressure of the first flow passage to promote vaporization of the temperature control fluid in form of liquid in the first flow passage in such a manner that the first pressure bonding surface is adjusted to a temperature lower than the first heating temperature.

    Abstract: A mirror display apparatus that subjects a mirror optical element to pulse voltage driving so that a reflectivity in a mirror mode can be changed by means of a duty cycle of the pulse voltage is provided. A mirror display apparatus includes a monitor display device and a mirror optical element disposed on the front side of the monitor display device. The mirror optical element includes a liquid-crystal panel with a reflection-type polarizer disposed on the back side thereof. The mirror optical element has a reflectivity and a transmissivity that are changed in respective directions opposite to each other via electric driving using a voltage applied to the liquid-crystal panel. A control circuit drives the liquid-crystal panel using a pulse voltage and performs control to change the reflectivity and the transmissivity of the mirror optical element by changing a duty cycle of the pulse voltage.

    Abstract: A mirror assembly 3 is detachably attached to an open side 2a of a mirror housing 2 in an exterior rearview mirror system (exterior mirror) 1 that is mounted outside a vehicle body. A mirror 4 in the mirror assembly 3 is comprised of a transparent glass plate 5 with a reflective coating 6 spread over a back surface of the transparent glass plate 5, through which reflective coating 6 electric current passes to produce an antiglare effect. The electric current passing through the reflective coating 6 is controlled using a sensors 8, 9 that detect intensity of light from surroundings and rearward of the vehicle body, and an electronic control circuit 10 that compares intensity of light detected in each sensor 8, 9 to automatically adjust an antiglare level of reflection in the reflective coating 6. A battery 11 that is connected with the electronic control circuit 10 and supplies electric current into the reflective coating 6 is provided in the mirror housing 2.
