  • Publication number: 20220369267
Abstract: A process of administering electronic device registration and authentication includes receiving an access request; comparing the credentials to credential data within a database; scanning for available communications channels; reporting available communications channels to an activation administrator server via one of the channels; and initiating activation of an activatable electronic device. The access request includes credentials and attribute data. The device can self-administer the process by an available means of communication. The device includes a memory, communications interfaces, and a processor. The processor identifies a unique attribute of the device and obtains and populates a form to generate an activation request including the device attribute, information associated with the device, and an intended usage. The activation request is forwarded to the server using the interface.

  • Publication number: 20060169769
Abstract: A system for managing a plurality of media includes an apparatus that houses a subset of the plurality. The apparatus may dispense media, either in raw or packaged form, and may receive media in response to customer requests and transactions, by identifying and authenticating customers and media. The apparatus may be configured to operate alone or the apparatus may interface with a host circulation system and may connect to customer and media databases within the host circulation system to manage a plurality of media greater than the subset physically housed within. Additionally, the apparatus may be used as a self check-out station for items that are not housed within. The system maintains a transactional log and may provide a transactional receipt to each customer as well as accept payment as part of a customer transaction. Additionally, the system may include a remote servicing system to maintain the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5479096
Abstract: Disclosed is a digital correction system for application to an analog parameter measurement transducer. A temperature sensor, either separate from or incorporated into a parameter measurement transducer provides a temperature signal which is converted by an A-to-D converter to address temperature gain and offset corrections. These corrections are applied to a preamplifier amplifying the output of the transducer. The preamplifier output which has been temperature gain and offset corrected, is applied as an input to a final stage amplifier and also to a further A-to-D converter which addresses a storage device including transducer gain and offset corrections. The transducer gain and offset corrections are applied to the final stage amplifier so that the analog sensor output is corrected for temperature effects and for transducer nonlinearities.
