  • Patent number: 11937197
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support using one of multiple types of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) to perform one or more management procedures. A base station may configure and transmit one or more SSBs of second type that are smaller than SSBs of a first type. For instance, SSBs of a second type may include a first subset of signals and may exclude a second subset of the signals that are included in an SSB of the first type. An SSB of the second type may be transmitted in an active bandwidth region used for communications between a user equipment (UE) and the base station. The UE may receive an SSB of the second type in an active bandwidth region, may perform one or more measurements using the SSB of the second type, and may perform one or more management procedures.

  • Patent number: 11864210
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback skipping for user equipment (UE)-initiated transmissions. A UE configured for extended reality (XR) operations and an SPS configuration including a plurality of SPS occasions, each SPS occasion configured with at least one downlink resource and at least one uplink resource, collects pose information related to at least one SPS occasion. The UE determines, based on the pose information, to skip at least one SPS occasion. The UE sends an indication of the determination to skip the at least one SPS occasion to a base station. The indication is transmitted in a preconfigured uplink resource or may be piggybacked in an uplink transmission. The base station may reallocate the resources configured for the at least one SPS occasion based on receiving the indication.

  • Patent number: 11844071
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for avoiding hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier (ID) conflicts in scenarios where multiple semi persistently scheduled (SPS) configurations share the same pool of HARQ process IDs are provided. One technique involves receiving an indication of SPS configurations, where each SPS configuration allocates a set of SPS occasions for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions. A conflict is detected between a first HARQ process ID associated with a first SPS occasion of a first SPS configuration and a second HARQ process ID associated with a second SPS occasion of a second SPS configuration, where the first SPS occasion occurs prior to the second SPS occasion. At least one action to resolve the conflict is taken based on predetermined rule(s), in response to detecting the conflict.
