  • Publication number: 20240042264
Abstract: An adjustable dumbbell system may include a base, two or more weights, a handle assembly, an additional weight, and selection assembly. The two or more weights may be supported by the base and grouped into a first set of weights associated with one end of the dumbbell system and a second set of weights associated with an opposing end of the dumbbell system. The handle assembly may be selectively fixedly joined to the first and second set of weights. The additional weight may be disposed distally of the handle assembly. The selection assembly may be secured to the additional weight. The selection assembly may include a selection member that may be linearly moveable between a selected position where the additional weight is operatively secured to the handle assembly and an unselected position where the additional weight is disengaged from the handle assembly.

  • Publication number: 20230030139
Abstract: An adjustable weight kettlebell includes a body defining an internal cavity configured to receive one or more of a plurality of weights, and a weight selector assembly configured to selectively couple one or more of the plurality of weights to the body. The weight selector assembly may include an actuator to enable a user to select one of a plurality of available weight settings. The weight selector assembly may be locked for adjustment when the kettlebell is removed from a support surface such as a base, thereby inhibiting inadvertent detachment of the weights from the kettlebell during exercise. The weight selector assembly may automatically shift to the closest weight settings upon release of the actuator and may automatically unlock upon placement of the kettlebell on the support surface such as the base, the bottom weight if not coupled to the kettlebell, or any other suitable support surface.

  • Patent number: 10617905
Abstract: An adjustable dumbbell system may include a handle assembly, at least one weight, at least one sensor, and a computing device. The at least one weight may be selectively fixedly connectable to the handle assembly. The at least one sensor may be positioned on the handle assembly. The at least one sensor may be configured to detect a handle assembly attribute indicative of whether the at least one weight is fixedly connected to the handle assembly. The computing device may be in communication with the at least one sensor and may be configured to receive information regarding the handle assembly attribute from the at least one sensor.
