  • Patent number: 8204052
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically coordinating collection and distribution of presence information are disclosed. According to one method, presence information is collected for a presentity. An event manager is selected from a plurality of event managers and is dynamically assigned to the presentity. The presence information is then communicated to the assigned event manager.

  • Patent number: 7933608
Abstract: A method for providing presence gateway functionality includes deriving presence information for subscribers in a first set of subscribers based on telecommunications signaling messages. The first set of subscribers includes at least one subscriber who is not a subscribed-to presentity. The method also includes determining whether presence status information for a subscriber in the first set of subscribers has changed. In response to detecting a change in presence status, it is determined whether the subscriber is a subscribed-to presentity. If the subscriber is a subscribed-to presentity, a presence server is notified of the change in status of the subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20080287106
Abstract: According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein comprises methods, systems, and computer program products for providing subscriber-controlled message service message delivery using a dynamic mailbox service. One method includes receiving a message service message destined for a subscriber and forwarding the message service message to a mailbox application server (MBAS) that provides dynamic mailbox service. At the MBAS, the dynamic mailbox service is provided, wherein providing the dynamic mailbox service includes allowing the subscriber to dynamically control delivery of the message service message from the MBAS to the subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20080161028
Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems and computer program products for a redundant, geographically diverse, and independently scalable message service (MS) content store system. According to one aspect, the system includes a content store function (CSF) including at least one content store (CS) configured to store message service messages, initiate delivery attempts for the message service messages, and maintain a message retry attempt schedule for unsuccessful delivery attempts. The system also includes a message server function (MSF) including at least one message server (MS) configured to route and deliver the message service messages, wherein the MSF is scalable independently from the CSF.

  • Patent number: 7319857
Abstract: A messaging service subscriber caching (MSSC) function caches mobile subscriber location information obtained from intercepted mobility management signaling messages. The MSSC function intercepts messaging service messages that are destined for a messaging service center and performs a first delivery attempt using the cached subscriber location information.

  • Publication number: 20070243858
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for integrated notification of missed calls across multiple phone types are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method may include detecting missed call occurrences between at least one calling party and a plurality of terminals of different types associated with a called subscriber. Further, message indicating the missed call occurrences may be communicated to a call log server separate from the terminals. Indications of the missed call occurrence for the called subscriber can be stored at the call log server. The subscriber may be notified of the missed call occurrences via a common terminal accessible by the subscriber. The subscriber may establish a call with the calling party using a click-to-dial interface.

  • Patent number: 7206394
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamic, rules-based peg counting are disclosed. According to one method, a user creates peg counter definitions using a rules-based language accessible via a graphical user interface. The peg counter definitions are downloaded from an administration server to network monitoring site collectors. The site collectors automatically detect the new peg counter definitions and begin using the new peg counter definitions without ceasing existing peg counting. Peg counter software on the site collectors periodically sends peg counter instances to a data gateway server. The data gateway server aggregates the peg counter instances generated by the various site collectors into system wide peg counter instances.
