    Abstract: A first electronic device is wireless connected to an audio output device that is also concurrently wirelessly connected with a second electronic device that is different from the first electronic device and playing first audio corresponding to first audio data transmitted by the second electronic device to the audio output device. The first electronic device, in response to detecting a user request to play a second audio that is associated with a media item, transmits to the audio output device second audio data corresponding to the second audio. In accordance with the second audio data being transmitted to the audio output device, the audio output device ceases playing the first audio and begins playing the second audio.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing a notification that a person is at a particular location. For example, a resident device may receive from a user device an image that shows a face of a first person, the image being captured by a first camera of the user device. The resident device may also receive, from another device having a second camera, a second image showing a portion of a face of a second person, the second camera having a viewable area showing a particular location. The resident device may determine a score indicating a level of similarity between a first set of characteristics associated with the face of the first person and a second set of characteristics associated with the face of a second person. The resident device may then provide to the user device a notification based on determining the score.

A UE may determine, for an interface to a high-speed cellular network, a categorization from a plurality of categorizations, determine availability of the high-speed cellular network, and select, based at least in part on the categorization and availability of the high-speed cellular network, the interface for a data connection to the high-speed cellular network. The categorization may be one of expensive or not expensive and/or one of a first level associated with a higher compression codec rate or a second level associated with a lower compression codec rate. The UE may receive, from one of the a low-speed cellular network or the high-speed cellular network, carrier plan information for a cellular data service carrier and analyze the carrier plan information to determine desirability of a switch, e.g., from the low-speed cellular network to the high-speed cellular network.

In some embodiments, a computing device maintains a credential manager that stores, in a protected manner, a set of credentials for authenticating a user and metadata about the credentials. The computing device stores an instance of the metadata externally to the credential manager. The computing device uses the externally stored metadata to determine whether the set of credentials includes a particular credential associated with a service and, in response to determining that the set of credentials includes the particular credential, displays an indication of the particular credential. In some embodiments, the computing device receives a selection of the displayed indication by the user and, in response to the selection, sends a request for the particular credential to the credential manager.

    Abstract: A location control subsystem is provided that allows a user of an electronic device to define the granularity used to provide location coarseness. A user can define a coarse location granularity for an application. When a coarse device location is reported to an application, the location can be provided with at least a minimum degree of variable specificity based on the selected location coarseness. When an application is granted a coarse location, the application is to interpret the provided location indicating that the user may be anywhere within a geographic region of variable specificity, as opposed to being close to a center point with a horizontal accuracy based on the precision of the location fix, as when a fine granularity location is provided. In addition to reducing the spatial resolution of the location that is reported to the application, the temporal resolution may also be reduced.
