  • Publication number: 20210140102
Abstract: This invention relates to a carpet tile that includes a polyolefin secondary backing layer. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles having at least one layer of polyolefin-containing thermoplastic polymer in the secondary backing of the carpet tile. By modifying the composition of the carpet tiles in this manner, the carpet tiles are able to withstand the high temperatures associated with surface printing of the tiles, while still maintaining cold temperature flexibility.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 20, 2021
    Publication date: May 13, 2021
    Applicant: Milliken & Company
Inventors: Sara A. Arvidson, Xin Li, Walter A. Scrivens, Nathan A. Mehl, Andrew M. Honohan, Dale R. Williams, Brandon T. Roberts, Franklin S. Love, III, Paul A. Rundquist

  • Publication number: 20030162017
Abstract: A composite tape substrate, formed by at least two polymers, where the polymer on the face side has a relatively low peel strength in combination with the adhesive, and where the polymer on the backside has a relatively high peel strength in combination with the adhesive.

  • Patent number: 5744146
Abstract: This invention relates to an anhydrous delivery vehicle for applying cosmetic or functional active ingredients to human skin. The anhydrous delivery vehicle contains 5 to 30 weight percent of a high-melting wax, 5 to 30 weight percent of an acetylated monoglyceride, 5 to 60 weight percent of petrolatum, 0.1 to 30 weight percent of a fatty alcohol having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, and a cosmetic or functional active material.

  • Patent number: 5346422
Abstract: This invention relates to an article of manufacture consisting of a toy having a plurality of synthetic fibers capable of spontaneously transporting water on the surface thereof, said fibers satisfying the following equation(1-X cos .theta..sub.a)<0,wherein.theta..sub.a is the advancing contact angle of water measured on a flat film made from the same material as the fiber and having the same surface treatment, if any,X is a shape factor of the fiber cross-section that satisfies the following equation ##EQU1## wherein P.sub.w is the wetted perimeter of the fiber and r is the radius of the circumscribed circle circumscribing the fiber cross-section and D is the minor axis dimension across the fiber cross-section.
