    Abstract: A lightweight, shockproof lighting system designed to mount on the underside of a vehicle, providing decorative pattern of light on the ground beneath the vehicle, and providing significant visibility to others using the road. The lighting system is comprised of impact-resistant, waterproof transparent plastic tubes, which house fragile, elongated fluorescent lamps by cushioning them from road shock with springs. These light tubes also include an internal reflector, which directs more of the light towards the road. The lighting system is provided with a wiring arrangement for connection to a source of electrical power, such as a battery pack or wheel generator.
