  • Patent number: 10269678
Abstract: Microelectronic systems having integrated heat dissipation posts are disclosed, as are methods for fabricating such microelectronic systems. In various embodiments, the method includes the step or process of obtaining a microelectronic component from which a heat dissipation post projects. The microelectronic component is placed or seated on a substrate, such as a multilayer printed circuit board, having a socket cavity therein. The heat dissipation post is received in the socket cavity as the microelectronic component is seated on the substrate. Concurrent with or after seating the microelectronic component, the microelectronic component and the heat dissipation post are bonded to the substrate. In certain embodiments, the heat dissipation post may be dimensioned or sized such that, when the microelectronic component is seated on the substrate, the heat dissipation post occupies a volumetric majority of the socket cavity.

  • Patent number: 10036211
Abstract: A work string assembly for an oil or gas well has a first and second tubulars, and a torque limiting device connected in the work string. The torque limiting device has a body with an axial bore and two interconnected members that can disconnect to be relatively rotatable. The interconnected members can be repeatedly re-engageable when the torque levels drop below a torque threshold value, or can be connected by a frangible member that is broken when the interconnected members disconnect. A selectively actuable circulation port provided in the string adjacent to and above the torque limiting device allows the annulus between the work string and the casing to be flushed with fluid from the port.

  • Publication number: 20160069942
Abstract: Various embodiments for detecting a High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) in a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) are provided. The internal detector may be used to test EMI filter pin connectors of a closed LRU. For example, a method comprises setting a selecting switch to a test connector position, thereby connecting a RF signal generator to a testing connection cable. The method further comprises causing the generator to generate a test signal as input into the testing connection cable, and determining if an internal HIRF detector has detected the signal. If the signal is detected, the method further comprises, for each EMI filter pin connector in the LRU, switching the selecting switch to a corresponding test cable coupled to an EMI filter pin connector, causing the generator to generate the test signal as input into the corresponding test cable; and determining if the detector has detected the signal.
