  • Patent number: 11673321
Abstract: A method for making an article for application to the human body. Data from measurement of pressures across an area of a person's body is obtained, which is then corresponded to a two-dimensional pressure map of a model of an article for application to that body area and identifying pressure-point locations and a pressure value for identified pressure-point location within the pressure map. Each different pressure value has a compression unit structure corresponding to that pressure value. The article is formed by generating the assigned respective structures in an integrated one-piece construct through layerwise build up in an additive manufacture system, where the build up includes a process that forms a joinder in an interface between adjacent contiguous structures which differ in geometry from one another so as to bond those contiguous structures together across the interface.

  • Patent number: 9216349
Abstract: Various devices, systems, and methods for gripping controllers for use with portable computing devices are described herein. In various embodiments, a system for gripping controllers for use with portable computing devices includes two gripping controllers. Each gripping controller includes a top portion having a face with an input controller arranged to receive input from a user, a bottom portion coupled to the top portion, and a radio antenna. Each gripping controller clamps onto a side of the portable computing device. At least one gripping controller communicates the received input from one or both gripping controllers to the portable computing device via the radio antenna using a wireless communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 7246567
Abstract: An ROV comprising a topside, a fish and an umbilical cable for connecting the topside and the fish together. The fish is adapted to be powered by an onboard battery inductively coupled to the fish. The cable is of a fine diameter to reduce drag through the water. RF transmissions carry control and return signals to and from the fish and topside. The fish has two cameras. The front facing camera is located behind a dual layer flooded dome. A pan and tilt mechanism is fitted to one of the cameras and uses a pivotable gimbal frame driven by a lead nut moving along an arcuate bolt.
