    Abstract: An improved material handling apparatus boom cylinder structure. A hydraulic cylinder is provided inside an outer boom and an inner boom in order to provide a method for slidably moving the inner boom relative to the outer boom. Affixed to the hydraulic boom cylinder is a boom cylinder support adapted to engage the internal structure of the inner boom in order to provide support for the hydraulic cylinder.
