Patent number: 9532684Abstract: A wet/dry sheet dispenser. The dispenser has an elongate refill which holds a liquid and fits into a complementary base. Liquid is selectively dispensed from the refill by longitudinal activation of a pump. The pump may be disposed on either the refill or base. Liquid flows from the refill, into the base and is ultimately dispensed onto a sheet. This arrangement allows for convenient and selective one hand pump operation, so the other hand is free to grasp the sheet. The sheet may be used wet or dry as desired at the point of use.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2014Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Paulus Antonius Augustinus Hoefte, Olga Lahuerta Salas, Kris Adriaenssens, Pedro Vincent Vandecappelle

Patent number: 8511924Abstract: A dispenser for viscous materials has a housing with a moveable wall that divides the interior volume of the housing into a distal product chamber and a proximal pressure chamber. An outlet from the product chamber is located adjacent to the distal end of the housing and an air inlet is provided to allow air to enter the pressure chamber. Displacement of the product occurs when accumulated excess air pressure in the pressure chamber acts on the back of the movable wall. The excess air pressure is built up by a bellows assembly arranged in fluid communication with the pressure chamber. On actuation, the bellows can be reduced in volume and subsequently recover by entry of air through the inlet. The direction of force application is preferably perpendicular to the housing axis and the location of the bellows is preferably distant from the product outlet.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2009Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Stefano Bartolucci, Paulus Hoefte, John David Lamb, Paul Robert Scott, Pedro Vincent Vandecappelle
