Publication number: 20250007171Abstract: A dielectric resonator antenna, which includes a dielectric resonator and a substrate on which a planar feeding circuit is configured. The dielectric resonator is located on a first side of the substrate. The planar feeding circuit contains a first feeding part and a second feeding part. The first and second feeding parts are adapted to excite two orthogonal DRA modes in a same frequency band. Due to its polarization diversity, the antenna can be used to replace two commercial Wi-Fi antennas. It can simultaneously be used as a projection device for decoration and advertising.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2024Publication date: January 2, 2025Inventors: Kwok Wa Leung, Peng Fei Hu

Patent number: 11670859Abstract: A tri-band omnidirectional dual-polarized antenna that includes a dielectric resonator, a first substrate containing a first feeding circuit; and a second substrate containing a second feeding circuit. The first substrate and the second substrate are both planar, which form a sandwiching structure with the dielectric resonator. The first and second feeding circuits are adapted to provide dual polarizations to three frequency bands. The antenna can be used in the tri-band wireless communication systems to provide large signal coverage and stable wireless access for mobile terminals.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2022Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: City University of Hong KongInventors: Kwok Wa Leung, Peng Fei Hu
