  • Publication number: 20200082341
Abstract: A method for standards registrars to improve customer service includes value-added auditing in which auditors describe at least two opportunities for improvement to the client or customer seeking registration. This approach is superior to the previous auditing strategies in which the auditors simply listed nonconformities and required the customer to submit corrective actions. In addition, the present invention includes a method for recruitment and training of a registrar's sales force that draws from a larger pool of candidates than traditional approaches by recruiting sales professionals and training them in technical or engineering principles necessary to facilitate quality audits. The present invention also includes a scope extension process for registrar's to expand their scope of accreditation through the use of industry training modules.

  • Publication number: 20110054933
Abstract: A method for transcribing medical information may include receiving input assigning each of a plurality of user profiles to at least one of a plurality of work pools, receiving a plurality of jobs each including demographic information, a priority indicator, and a digital audio file, assigning each of the jobs to one of the plurality of work pools based on the job's priority indicator and demographic information, distributing each of the assigned jobs to one of the assigned user profiles active within the assigned job's work pool, receiving, for each of the assigned jobs, a transcription of the job's digital audio file, generating, for a selected user profile, quality metrics indicative of an accuracy of transcriptions input, and outputting a visual representation of the quality metrics.

  • Patent number: 4033704
Abstract: A device for destratifying bodies of water for controlling water quality parameters. The device includes an elongated hollow shroud within a cylindrical pipe that is capable of being supported in a vertical position within the body of water. The shroud is mounted on a center hollow drive shaft. A reactive propulsion driven rotary arm disposed in the plenum of the shroud is driven by pressurized fluid. Within the pipe, but outside of and near the lower end of the shroud's drive shaft, an impeller forces water upwardly and axially around the shroud to the water's surface. The reactive propulsion means is preferably driven by pumped air, whereby the effect of the pressurized air rotates the arm and the impeller fixed to the common drive shaft. This action aids in destratifying the body of water. A series of guide vane blades may be interposed on the same drive shaft between the impeller and the shroud to reduce the turbulence of the water exiting from the impeller.
