  • Publication number: 20230332729
Abstract: The invention relates to a spiral wrap formed of an extruded profile coiled along a helical path around an axis. The profile having a first section and a second section; the first section having a first lip directed towards the axis; and the second section having a second lip directed away from the axis. The first lip and the second lip are arranged such that one of the lips is always in contact with an adjacent coil such that the engagement of adjacent coils of the spiral wrap prevents gaps in protection from forming even when the spiral wrap is curved.

  • Patent number: 9052042
Abstract: A hose shroud (10) comprising a plurality of expanded sections (12) and clamping sections (22), arranged to engage a bundle of hoses or lines, wherein in use, the hose shroud (10) is arranged such that an outer wall (18) of the hose shroud (10) is placed under an inner wall (20) of the hose shroud (10) defining a reservoir (28) therein, the inner wall (20) and outer wall (18) are held in close contact by a plurality of raised protuberances (16) on the outer wall surface (18), the spaced apart inner (20) and outer wall (18) surfaces of the hose shroud (10) are arranged such as to form a lumen (14) to allow fluid communication of fluids leaked within the reservoir (28) and the exterior of the hose shroud (10).

  • Publication number: 20110285338
Abstract: A torque amplifying apparatus mounted to a non-driven component of a vehicle comprises a plurality of permanent armature magnets and a plurality of electromagnets, the permanent armature magnets arranged to interact with the plurality of electromagnets. The interaction of the electromagnets and the permanent armature magnets causes a repulsion force, which creates a force in the direction of the motion of the vehicle to reduce fuel consumption.

  • Patent number: 6286557
Abstract: A sheath for at least partially covering a tubular member, includes a helically wound strip having an electrically conductive portion extending through the strip from an inner surface of the strip to an outer surface of the strip. The conductive portion also extends continuously substantially helically along at least part of the length of the sheath. The sheath, and in particular the strip, may be formed from a flame retardant material.
