  • Publication number: 20180238323
Abstract: A method for operating a device for dosed supply of a liquid, having a pump to deliver the liquid. The pump has an inlet and an outlet. An eccentric is arranged on the pump housing and a deformable diaphragm is arranged between a pump housing and the eccentric. The deformable diaphragm and the pump housing delimit a delivery path from the inlet to the outlet. The seal can be displaced along the delivery path by movement of the eccentric. A pressure sensor is connected to the outlet of the pump. A liquid is delivered by the pump. A time curve of the pressure at the outlet of the pump is monitored during delivery by the at least one pressure sensor. An angle position of the eccentric of the pump is detected using at least one characteristic feature of the time curve at the outlet.

  • Publication number: 20170318049
Abstract: A malware detection system based on stored data that analyzes an electronic message for threats by comparing it to previously received messages in a message archive or to a contacts list. Threat protection rules may be generated dynamically based on the message and contacts history. A message that appears suspicious may be blocked, or the system may insert warnings to the receiver not to provide personal information without verifying the message. Threat checks may look for unknown senders, senders with identities that are similar to but not identical to previous senders or to known contacts, or senders that were added only recently as contacts. Links embedded in messages may be checked by comparing them to links previously received or to domain names of known contacts. The system may flag messages as potential threats if they contradict previous messages, or if they appear unusual compared to the patterns of previous messages.

  • Patent number: 9771849
Abstract: A method for operating a delivery device for delivering a reducing agent from a reducing agent tank into an exhaust treatment device of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, includes at least intermittently carrying out a ventilation process of the delivery device during operation of the internal combustion engine. A registration of a ventilation process first occurs. A timing unit having a preset time interval and/or a mass-flow summing unit having a preset total mass flow is then actuated. When the preset time interval and/or the preset total mass flow is reached, the ventilation process is then carried out. In particular, monitoring the delivery device by a pressure sensor can thus be omitted. A delivery device for delivering a reducing agent is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9610539
Abstract: An exhaust-gas treatment device includes a honeycomb body wound and/or stacked with at least partially structured sheet-metal layers forming channels through which an exhaust gas can flow in axial direction from an inlet side to an outlet side. A first section of the sheet-metal layers ends flush at a first end surface associated with at least one of the sides and a second section of the sheet-metal layers ends at a second end surface associated with at least one of the sides. A spacing is provided between the first and second end surfaces because a first axial length of the first section is greater than a second axial length of the second section. The spacing forms a receptacle receiving a heating body, producing a simple electrically heatable exhaust-gas treatment device into which a heating body can be integrated during or after production of the honeycomb body.

  • Patent number: 9598996
Abstract: A method for feeding reducing agent to an exhaust gas mass flow in an exhaust gas treatment device provides a reducing agent feed port, a storage catalytic converter storing reducing agent and an SCR catalytic converter for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxygen compounds in exhaust gas. A first dosing strategy is followed, loading of the storage catalytic converter with reducing agent is monitored and a first target conversion rate is determined based on current loading. Reducing agent is fed according to the first target conversion rate. A current conversion rate obtained with the SCR catalytic converter is determined. The current conversion rate is compared to the first target conversion rate and any deviation is registered. A further dosing strategy, not considering the loading of the storage catalytic converter, is used if the deviation exceeds a first threshold value. A motor vehicle and a stationary installation are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9567989
Abstract: A method for operating a feed pump operating in a pulsating manner in a feed unit to feed a liquid operating substance in a feeding direction, is used in a motor vehicle. The feed pump has a feed piston and a drive coil for driving the feed piston. The feed unit has a pressure sensor downstream of the feed pump in the feeding direction. A voltage profile is firstly applied to the drive coil. A feed stroke of the feed piston is subsequently carried out in accordance with the voltage profile. In this context, a pressure profile in the feed unit downstream of the feed pump in the feeding direction is monitored. This pressure profile is subsequently evaluated. The voltage profile is subsequently adapted as a function of at least one characteristic property of the pressure profile. A motor vehicle having a feed pump is also provided.
