  • Publication number: 20120057433
Abstract: A system is provided for communicating to health care workers the turning, positioning and schedule requirements of dependent patients with pressure ulcers, or at risk for the development of pressure ulcers. The system includes a display indicating a next required position of the patient and a display indicating a time for next movement of the patient to the next position. The time of next movement is calculated by entering an indication of a maximum allowable time for the patient to remain in each position and adding this to the current time.

  • Publication number: 20110175390
Abstract: A retractable tarp system having an automated air-operated closing mechanism used in conjunction with a headboard of a truck or vehicle-pulled trailer. The automated system of opening and closing the tarping system uses air cylinders to operate a guide for the front opening/closing mechanism, which can run off a trailer's air supply system. A hook extending from the tarp structure cooperates with the guide to secure the tarp structure to the headboard. The truck driver needs only to operate a switch to open and close the front closing mechanism of the retractable tarp system.

  • Patent number: 7874812
Abstract: In known devices for pumping fuel, suction jet pumps are used which are driven by the fuel flowing back from the internal combustion engine and pump fuel from a supply tank into an impoundment container of a fuel pumping unit. In known suction jet pumps, the suction power is limited by the fact that the fuel stream applies itself to the housing wall, so that the entire area of the fuel stream is no longer available for entraining fuel. The device of the invention lessens this effect by providing at least one rib between the first partial section of the fuel line and the mixing conduit.

  • Patent number: 7832379
Abstract: A devices for pumping fuel has at least one suction jet pump and a drive line, supplying the suction jet pump with fuel, that branches off from a pressure line leading to an internal combustion engine and that can be blocked off by means of a shutoff valve. By means of a shutoff valve, it is possible to switch off the suction jet pumps. The pressure of the pressure line acts on the shutoff valve in such a way that the shutoff valve closes at a pressure that is greater than or equal to a predetermined closing pressure.

  • Publication number: 20100277021
Abstract: An apparatus for transferring torque magnetically with a primary rotary member and a secondary rotary member, wherein said rotary members are disc shaped and are sandwiched between one another. The primary rotary member has permanent magnets mounted radially on a disc, the secondary rotary member having disc geometry with electro conductive material arranged on it. The secondary rotary member also having magnetically permeable material. The new improvements herein have modified the earlier cylindrical design to that of a an alternative disk—plate/shape design utilizing the similar magnetic circuit that which overcomes some deficiencies/problems in the prior art, in that the prior art required more precision alignment of the electro-conductive rotor inside the magnetic can array and requires additional strength in the foundations of the machinery in order to maintain the air gap between the magnet can and the rotor assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100183795
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a fat-containing suspension and/or a fat-containing emulsion, in particular a chocolate or a chocolate-like fat composition, by mixing an emulsion formed by means of a reactive emulsifying technique, which emulsion has a disperse aqueous phase and a continuous fat phase, with a fat phase, in particular a cocoa mass. The invention relates, in particular, to a method of producing agave syrup-containing chocolate, wherein an emulsion consisting of cocoa butter or another fat or fat mixture and agave syrup or an aqueous sugar solution is generated and mixed with cocoa mass. According to the invention, the emulsion and later the chocolate are stabilized by emulsification at elevated temperature and evaporating the agave syrup or the sugar solution in the emulsified state. An otherwise customary comminution of the dry materials is therefore no longer necessary since the fineness necessary for sensory properties is set by the emulsifying process.
