  • Patent number: 10888210
Abstract: A cleaning mitt has upper and lower material cleaning layers attached to form an interior pocket. The lower material cleaning layer has a bottom exterior side having a moderately abrasive first cleaning surface for light duty scrubbing and cleaning and a top interior side having a second cleaning surface less abrasive than the first cleaning surface for streak-free polishing. The upper material cleaning layer has a bottom interior side having a third cleaning surface which has the identical abrasiveness as the second cleaning surface and a top exterior side having a fourth cleaning surface which is more abrasive than the second and third cleaning surfaces for medium duty scrubbing and cleaning. A fifth cleaning surface partially circumscribes the cleaning layers for heavy duty scrubbing and cleaning. The fifth cleaning surface may also be provided as a scrubber patch on one of the cleaning layers.

  • Patent number: 9993917
Abstract: A handgrip for the handle of a cleaning tool, and particularly a push broom, has a frustum shaped front section with side walls tapering downwardly from an outwardly extending upper lip portion to an opening at the terminus of the front section. The opening is shaped to retain the cleaning tool handle. A stock shaped rear section extends downwardly from the front section. The rear section has a curved top wall which merges smoothly downward into curved sidewalls and merges upwards to the lip portion. A curved notch is formed between the lip portion and the top wall. This configuration allows the user to maintain a comfortable grasp of the handgrip, eliminating the strain and risk of injury, while ensuring that the user's hand does not slip off the handle.

  • Patent number: 9980555
Abstract: A push broom has a straight push broom handle with a longitudinal axis and a push broom block having a longitudinal axis. The push broom block has outwardly extending dual brackets and an upstanding handle connecting member for accepting and securing the handle. The handle is configured to be secured such that its longitudinal axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the push broom block in the shipping and merchandising mode. The handle is configured to be secured within the handle connecting member such that its longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the push broom block in the push broom's use mode. An integrally molded, ā€œUā€ shaped strap is also provided to support and brace the handle in its various modes.

  • Patent number: 8925134
Abstract: A cleaning implement is disclosed which provides a cleaning member rotatably connected to a base member. Attached to the base member is a first cleaning material, while a second cleaning material is attached to the cleaning member. The second cleaning material may be oriented in a different plane than the first cleaning material, allowing differently oriented surfaces to be cleaned. The cleaning member is adapted to rotate relative to the base member to allow the cleaning member to be oriented in a multitude of cleaning configurations. A method of cleaning, utilizing the cleaning implement of the invention, is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8904591
Abstract: A cleaning implement comprising a base member having opposing top and bottom surfaces and at least one side surface. A handle is connected to the top surface of the base member and a first cleaning material is attached to the bottom surface of the base member. A cleaning member is rotatably connected to the at least one side surface of the base member and a second cleaning material attached to the cleaning member such that the second cleaning material is oriented in a different plane than the first cleaning material.

  • Patent number: 8333027
Abstract: An interchangeable address signage system utilizes one or more address tiles retained on a backplate. The backplate has a top rail and a bottom rail, with tabs extending from the rails. The address tiles each notches on their top surfaces and their bottom surfaces which correspond to the tabs on the rails of the backplate. The address tiles are either retained between the tabs extending from the rails or by the positioning of the tabs within the notches of the address tiles, depending on the number of tiles being placed on the backplate. A separable support frame attached to the backplate maintains the backplate and tiles in position. A display member which extends from the support frame provides for interchangeable decorative displays to be attached to the system.

  • Patent number: 8123187
Abstract: A height adjustable and removable container system is provided with a container having a center opening through which at least one elongated, supporting guide member extends. The container moves up and down the guide member and is adjustable to fully raised and fully lowered positions and can also be positioned on intermediate heights on the guide member. A handle is removably connected to the end of the guide member to assist in the movement of the container along the guide member. The handle can be disconnected and separated from the guide member to allow the container to be removed from the system. A stop pin, stored in the handle when not in use, is provided to set the container at intermediate heights on the guide member.

  • Patent number: 8047495
Abstract: A height adjustable container system which includes a container through which at least one elongated, inner supporting member extends. The supporting member is secured at one end to a mounting system consisting of a ceiling mount and corresponding U-bracket/bolt combination. In one embodiment of the invention, an elongated inner supporting member is telescopically located within an elongated outer supporting member. A spring biased press button or mechanical stop component extending from the inner supporting member allows the outer supporting member on which the container is mounted to be vertically lowered, so that when the container is used as a planter, the plants in the container can be watered and when the container is a bird feeder, bird food can be added to the feeder. By simply pushing the container upward along the supporting member, the container is again elevated and locked in its elevated, suspended position.

  • Patent number: 8006642
Abstract: Protection of the pole of a vertically slideable bird feeder and the prevention of loss of bird feed if the filled or partially filled feeder is removed from the pole is accomplished by a specially designed protective sheath located within the feed tube housing of the feeder and around the pole. The upper end of the sheath is held in place within a channel formed in the feed filling funnel. The lower end of the sheath is held in place within a second channel formed in the bird feed tray on which the feed tube housing rests. Upstanding walls within the filling funnel are configured to ensure that feed is poured into the feed tube housing with minimal loss of feed at the pole. The feed filling funnel, feed tube housing, protective sheath, and bird feed tray, are all vertically moveable as a single unit along the pole, without causing damage to or undue feed residue buildup on the pole, while maintaining the integrity of the feed in the feed tube housing.

  • Patent number: 7930995
Abstract: A bird feed tray has an integral, unitary body. The tray is separated into a plurality of segments by partitions and circumscribed by an outer wall or rim. Each segment has dual surfaces which are sloped both downward toward the outer rim and inward to form a drain trough. The troughs terminate at the outer rim. A number of drain holes are provided adjacent to the outer rim. Water which collects on the surface of the tray funnels down into the troughs, where it is discharged through the drain holes.

  • Publication number: 20110047896
Abstract: A centering ground spike for supporting a vertical pole having an integral body with a top member and downwardly extending hollow main section. The main section extends down to a hollow cone shaped section to form a point. An elongated cavity is enclosed between the top member, the main section and the cone shaped section. An opening through the top member permits the insertion of a support pole into the cavity of the ground spike. The end of the pole within the cavity rests on the interior surfaces of the cone shaped section. The pole itself is maintained in vertical position by a locking ring with adjustment screws which are tightened around the outer surface of the pole. The size of the opening through the top member and the cone shaped section permit the ground spike to accept and vertically support poles of various diameters. In alternate embodiments, the bottom end of the pole will rest on inverted cone shaped walls which extend into the first cavity.
