An example method includes: a payment service system (PSS) monitoring in real-time transactions of users, receiving a request from a user to complete a transaction, and dynamically determining a predicted tax liability amount for the transaction that increases or decreases a total tax liability of the user. The PSS then displays the predicted tax liability amount on a display of the users device with a request for confirmation to continue with the transaction. If confirmation is received, the PSS modifies tax liability information for the user that reflects the completed transaction. The user may also cancel the transaction responsive to receiving the predicted tax liability amount.
