  • Publication number: 20080031961
Abstract: The present invention relates to benefit agent containing delivery particles, compositions comprising said particles, and processes for making and using the aforementioned particles and compositions. When employed in compositions, for example, personal care, cleaning or fabric care compositions, such particles increase the efficiency of benefit agent delivery, there by allowing reduced amounts of benefit agents to be employed. In addition to allowing the amount of benefit agent to be reduced, such particles allow a broad range of benefit agents to be employed.

  • Patent number: 7325220
Abstract: Techniques are provided for automatically recommending a suitable programmable IC for a circuit design in response to receiving information about the circuit design. The information can be provided in any desired format. For example, specifications defining the circuit design can be provided in a spreadsheet. As another example, a user can select circuit components for the circuit design from a design library. The information describing the circuit design is compared with information about the features of available programmable ICs. A determination is then made as to which of the available programmable ICs is suitable for the circuit design.

  • Patent number: 7308146
Abstract: A method of compressing a current image of a sequence of images is disclosed. Firstly, the current image is transformed with a predetermined transform such as the DWT to provide a set of transform coefficients (step 2202). The method then retrieves (step 2303), for at least one transform coefficient of a current image, a predetermined number of bits, preferably two, of a corresponding transform coefficient of a previously compressed image of the sequence. The corresponding transform coefficient is truncated at a truncation bitplane and the retrieved bits are the least significant bits of the truncated corresponding transform coefficient. The transform coefficient of the current image is set to a new value that is a function of the retrieved bits (step 2306) and bits of the transform coefficients of the current image are stored for use in compressing one or more subsequent images of the sequence (step 2208).

  • Publication number: 20070283142
Abstract: Generally described, multimode authentication over a VoIP communication channel is provided. A calling client and a called client may be authenticated for a communication channel establishment. When a calling client requests a call connection with a called client, the calling client is authenticated for the communication channel, based on exchanged contextual information between the calling client and the called client. Likewise, the called client is authenticated for the communication channel by the calling client. Upon authentication, a communication channel is established, over which the calling client and the called client are allowed to exchange more contextual and voice/multimedia information. During a conversation, when a secured service is desired by any of the clients, a series of authentication processes can be performed to grant access to the secured service over the communication channel without loss of the communication channel connection.

  • Patent number: 7290680
Abstract: A post-mix beverage valve provides for automatic, accurate beverage ratioing. A valve body can be assembled, and includes a water flow hard body, syrup body and common nozzle body. The water and syrup flow bodies define flow channels and include one end for connection to water and syrup respectively, and opposite ends for fluid connection to the nozzle body. The water flow channel includes a turbine flow sensor connected to a micro-controller determining the water flow rate. The syrup flow channel includes a flow sensor, two MEMS pressure sensors, monitoring the syrup. The sensors are connected to the micro-controller and positioned about an orifice and senses sense a differential pressure indicative of syrup flow rate solenoid regulates flow of syrup through the syrup body. A stepper motor on the water body controls a rod in the flow channel in conjunction with a V-groove.

  • Patent number: 7281540
Abstract: Cigarettes are manufactured having smokable rods with paper wrapping materials having additive materials applied thereto as patterns. The additive materials can be applied to a continuous, moving paper web on a cigarette making apparatus using application apparatus possessing four rollers. One roller has a series of pockets to receive additive formulation and to define the pattern of the formulation on the paper. The additive material can be applied to a transfer roller in roll interaction with a pick-up roller. Roll interaction of the transfer roller with an application roller causes transfer of the additive material from the transfer roller to the application roller. Additive material from the application roller can be transferred to the paper web that passes between the application roller and a back-up roller. A radiant dryer can be used to dry the additive material applied to the paper web.

  • Patent number: 7279012
Abstract: A process for producing olefins comprises providing a vapor product stream from an oxygenate to olefin reaction, the vapor product stream comprising C2 to C4 olefins, C2 to C6 carbonyl compounds and water. The vapor product stream is cooled to provide a first vapor effluent stream comprising no more than 10 wt. % water, and a liquid water-rich stream. The first vapor effluent stream, and a first wash flash vapor stream, are compressed from a first pressure to a second pressure greater than said first pressure to form a second vapor effluent stream, which is then cooled to form a cooled second effluent stream that is at least partially in the vapor state.

  • Patent number: 7277489
Abstract: The method performs a two-dimensional discrete wavelet transform on an image. The image comprises a plurality of blocks of pixels. The method generates (340) a current output block of subband data corresponding to a current block. The current output block is generated before either a one-dimensional discrete wavelet row or column transformation of a next block of pixels is completed, using intermediate lifting values stored (310, 350) during the generation of a plurality of previous blocks of subband data.
