  • Publication number: 20170109726
Abstract: A bridge device acts as a link between generic wireless protocols of mobile devices and available communication components of access devices. The bridge device can be an attachment to existing access devices and enables a transaction using any available communication components on an access device and a bridge device mobile application on a mobile device. The bridge device notifies the mobile device which communication components are available for the transaction. The mobile device then sends a selection of a communication component to the bridge device. To conduct the transaction, the bridge device converts data received from the mobile device and sends it to the access device using a protocol compatible with the selected communication component. The bridge device also converts data received from the access device and sends it to the mobile device using a generic wireless protocol supported by the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20160124600
Abstract: A nonbezel touch sensitive user interface may comprise an image that completely covers a face of a device and an overscan located adjacent to the perimeter of the device. The overscan may be overlaid by the image and may provide access to various types of functionality of the device. Touching the overscan may expose functional items within the overscan region. An item may be swiped toward the inner portion of the user interface and out of the overscan, in order to initiate functionality. Access to functionality may be provided based on an amount of time that the overscan is touched. Functionality may be provided based on a nature of a touch of the device. Functionality may be provided based on proximity of the device to an object.

  • Patent number: 8943306
Abstract: A content issuer entity designates a transport security level for each of a plurality of electronic certificates and provides the electronic certificates to a first wireless device. A second wireless device establishes a communications link to transfer electronic certificate data associated with one or more electronic certificates stored on the first wireless device to the second wireless device via a wireless transaction and determines, for each stored electronic certificate, a transport security level previously designated at the content issuer entity. At the first wireless device, a highest transport security level is determined from among the respective transport security levels associated with the stored electronic certificates. The electronic certificate data is transferred from the first wireless device to the second wireless device via the communications link in accordance with a security measure that corresponds to the highest determined transport security level.
