  • Publication number: 20100131862
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of creating at least one complex multimedia object intended to be reproduced in a multimedia environment. According to the invention such a method includes a step (21) of dynamically encapsulating at least one second multimedia object (12) in a first multimedia object (11) to form a complex multimedia object (110) having behavioral characteristics in said multimedia environment defined in a list (150) of behavioral characteristics associated with it obtained by transferring into a list (13) of behavioral characteristics associated with said first multimedia object (11) a set of characteristics contained in a list (14) of behavioral characteristics associated with said second multimedia object (12).

  • Patent number: 5825717
Abstract: A method of measuring an angle in three dimensions relative to a reference direction. In the method:a transducer array emitter is placed in a known position relative to the reference direction;the transducers of the array are excited so as to emit ultrasound waves in air mainly in a firing direction;by applying phase offsets between the excitation signals for the transducers of the array, the firing direction is varied, thereby causing it to scan a given observation zone, while simultaneously the echo received in the vicinity of the emitter is measured; andthe looked-for angle is determined from the known position of the emitter relative to the reference position, and from the firing direction at the moment when the echo amplitude is at a maximum.

  • Patent number: 5808177
Abstract: The invention is related to a method for controlling a device for the ultrasound detection of objects in air, said device comprising a plurality of transducers, used as transmitters and adapted to operate in a phased grid, and at least one transducer, used as a receiver, which are mounted on a support, wherein, prior to at least one detection operation, a calibration step is carried out in order to ascertain a structural phase shift of the transmitter with respect to the reference transmitter, which is then memorized so as to later be able to correct the theoretical phase shifts of the transmitters from the structural phase shift value when shots are ordered later.
