Publication number: 20230312207Abstract: A method and system provide a folded mailer system which can house / enclose a container which houses a liquid. The folded mailer system meets the requirements /standards as set forth by the USPS for first-class machinable mail. While the folded mailer system meets the USPS requirements / standards for first-class machinable mail, the folded mailer system may also meet the requirements / standards for machinable mail in other jurisdictions outside of the United States. The mailer system may include a container capable of holding a liquid and a structure for holding the container when the container is shipped. The structure may have at least two sections which are folded on to each other when the container is shipped. The container and structure may be machinable within an automated mailing system that is run by the USPS.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2023Publication date: October 5, 2023Inventor: Pierre-Emmanuel DELIOU

Patent number: 11771059Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for tracking near-field communication (NFC)-enabled animals with a portable computing device (PCD) (i.e. mobile phone) may include providing an NFC-tag comprising memory in which the memory contains a unique identifier. The NFC-tag may be coupled to an animal and then the NFC-tag may be scanned with the PCD. A tag identification server may determine if data from the NFC-tag exists in a database and then transmits an animal production facility identifier and one or more animal records associated with data from the NFC-tag from the tag identification server if the data from the NFC-tag exists in the database. Access to a secure memory area on the portable computing device containing a complete set of animal records for an entire animal facility may be granted if the software identifier matches the animal production facility identifier received from the tag identification server.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2018Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM ANIMAL HEALTH USA INC.Inventor: Pierre-Emmanuel Deliou

Patent number: 11553695Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for tracking animals, which may include production animals as well as pets. The system and method may comprise a tag system that is attached to an animal that generally has at least a near-field-communication (NFC) tag. The tag system comprises at least an NFC tag and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag. For NFC tags, such tags may be read with a portable computing device, such as a mobile telephone running NFC reader application software. The phone may communicate with a communications network and ultimately a computer server in order to relay information received from a respective electronic tag. The electronic tags may be fastened, embedded, or ingested by an animal. The electronic tags may be part of a mechanical coupling. Each mechanical coupling may comprise a different structure depending on the whether the tags are fastened to, embedded in, or ingested by the animal.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2021Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Assignee: BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM VETMEDICA GMBHInventor: Pierre-Emmanuel Deliou

Patent number: 11026402Abstract: A computer system and method for tracking a companion animal and alerting an owner of the companion animal when the companion animal is lost may include a server generating a web page associated with a near-field-communication (NFC) portion of an electronic tag. The electronic tag may be coupled to the companion animal with a mechanical device. The server may generate a geo-fence that is associated with the electronic tag and the server may monitor the geo-fence to determine if the electronic tag has exited the geo-fence. The server may send a message to the web page if the electronic tag has exited the geo-fence. The server may then send an alert to a portable computing device if the electronic tag has exited the geo-fence. The server may send a command to the electronic tag to change from a first rate to a second rate for a device identifier reporting rate.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2018Date of Patent: June 8, 2021Assignee: BOERINGER INGELHEIM ANIMAL HEALTH USA INC.Inventor: Pierre-Emmanuel Deliou
