  • Patent number: 5851396
Abstract: Pollution separator and purifier apparatus (10) for at least one fluid mixture comprises: an inlet member (14) for admitting the fluid mixture to be treated into a stationary cylindrical body (12); a rotor mounted in the cylindrical body (12) and having a stack of at least two plates (18) with openings, cooperating with means that generate a pressure drop in the top portion of the apparatus and generating upward helical motion in the mixture to be treated; a hopper (22) for collecting the heavy phase, connected to the cylindrical body (12) beneath the rotor (16) and provided with forced evacuation means (24); and an extractor member (26) for extracting the treated mixture, and connected to the cylindrical body (12) above the rotor (16).

  • Patent number: 4907913
Abstract: A point of junction of tubular metallic structures, notably for derrick platforms, includes a tubular element on which are welded the tubes which form the point of junction. At least one steel stiffening element, formed of a cylindrical main portion coaxial with the tubular element and provided with annular ribs, is ferruled inside the tubular element with a ferruling rate sufficient for preventing it from being disunited from the tubular element.

  • Patent number: 4729760
Abstract: The apparatus according to this invention comprises, in a fixed enclosure, a rotating element constituted by a treatment rotor incorporating perforated discs offset angularly one from the other, upstream by a rotary distributor and downstream by a ventilator. According to the invention, the rotor is interposed between an upstream suction chamber and a downstream chamber collecting the gaseous phase, the rotor comprising a hollow shafting which places in communication through end openings this collecting chamber with the chamber of the ventilator, which is separated by a partition from the suction chamber, while the collecting chamber is separated by a partitioning from the peripheral zone and from a conical extension.

  • Patent number: 4478718
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for multiple centrifugal separation of a mixture of phases and to an apparatus for carrying such process out. The invention is applicable to a mixture of phases of any states, said apparatus comprising, disposed coaxially and moved in rotation in a fixed enclosure, a fan adapted to create a depression upstream, a rotary distributor converting the pressure drop resulting from the action of the fan on the upstream pressure into a speed of rotation of the mixture added in the same direction to the positive speed of rotation of said distributor, and a rotor comprising elements for guiding running streams and defining still layers adjacent to and outside of such running streams. Heavy particles located in the still layers are conducted out of the device.

  • Patent number: 4460393
Abstract: Improved apparatus of the type comprising inside a fixed enclosure, a rotary assembly constituted by a treatment rotor with apertured discs angularly offset one with respect to the other, upstream by a rotary distributor and downstream by a fan with optional interposition of a rotary rectifier.According to the invention, the apparatus comprises between the discs and the fixed part of the enclosure, means to partly at least annihilate the downstream leaks through the annular opening necessarily provided between the discs and the fixed part to allow the rotation of the rotary assembly. More particularly, said fixed part is constituted by a stack of truncated deflector plates which extend the discs, and on the edges of which are formed small blades constituting the leaks annihilating means.
