  • Patent number: 7278535
Abstract: A chain link is described which may be assembled with other chain links to form a conveyor belt which is particular in that along the front and rear edges, recesses are provided such that a recess along one edge corresponds to no recess at the opposite edge, and that the recesses along one edge inside each recess is provided with two notches protruding into the recess along a common axis parallel to the front/rear edges, and that apertures are provided inside the recesses along the opposite edge, where the apertures can accommodate notches from an adjacent chain link, and that an opening substantially perpendicular to the bottom and top sides connects the aperture with the bottom side for allowing the notches to pass into the aperture.

  • Patent number: 6857517
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible conveyor comprising a carrying structure and a conveyor belt where the upper side is defined by the loading surface of the conveyor belt. The invention provides a flexible conveyor comprising a carrying structure and a conveyor belt where the upper side is defined by the conveyor belt loading surface characterised in that the carrying structure comprises a load-carrying chain where each link in the chain on its upper side comprises conveyor belt support means, and on its underside conveyor belt guidance means, and that each load-carrying chain link is articulately joined for movement in three dimensions relative to the adjacent links and further that the conveyor belts loading surface is supported by the conveyor belt support means, and further that means are provided in each end of the flexible conveyor about which the conveyor belt is guidably turned.

  • Patent number: 6758329
Abstract: The invention provided a conveyor belt, which is special in that the belt in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the belt is made from one single chain link, and that the transport top surface comprises a wide main portion and the top part of the eye projections which are flush with the main portion, such that the belt surface is substantially without apertures and/or openings and further that the hinge-like assembly arrangement is fully accessible only from the underside of the belt. By this inventive chain link is achieved that the narrow gaps between each assembled chain link in the prior art is not present such that from a hygienic point of view it becomes much easier to clean the entire conveyor belt satisfactory in that for each chain link, which usually constitutes 40-60 mm of the total length of the conveyor belt, which altogether, especially for deboning lines, might be 300-400 meter long, no gaps are present.

  • Patent number: 6662938
Abstract: The invention provided for a conveyor belt wherein chain links are assembled such that eye parts are inserted into the intervals between two eye parts in the opposite chain link, whereafter the transverse rod according to the invention is inserted from one side of the conveyor belt through the overlapping openings in both chain links. When the notches provided on the transverse rod adjacent the head portion come into contact with the end face of the chain link, i.e. the side of the chain link, the notches can be brought into engagement with slits provided in the outmost chain link by twisting the head portion and pushing it into the end portion of the chain link. When the notches are engaged in the slits the transverse rod is fixated such that it will not move sideward in relation to the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 6412625
Abstract: A feed apparatus (1) comprising a conveyor belt (2), the conveyor belt (2) comprising modules (3) with an upper (4) and a lower (5) surface, the modules (3) comprising hinge eyes (7) pivotally hinged to each other perpendicular to the feed direction. The feed apparatus (1) comprises at least one rotatable and toothed driving wheel (8) meshed with the conveyor belt (2), with the pressure receiving surface (10) of the teeth wholly or partially in contact against at least the outer surface (13) of its own hinge eye (7). Therefore an optimum force transmission to the belt itself is achieved, which occurs through the teeth of the sprocket wheel applying driving force at the hinge eyes, thus making the force transmission occur close to the center line of the axis of the hinge eyes. There is a good lateral steering of the belt, so that the risk that the belt hops off the toothed wheel is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20020011401
Abstract: A feed apparatus (1) comprising a conveyor belt (2), said conveyor belt (2) comprising modules (3) with an upper (4) and a lower (5) surface, said modules (3) by first means (6) comprising hinge eyes (7) being pivotally hinged to each other perpendicular to the feed direction, and that the feed apparatus (1) in addition comprises at least one rotatable and toothed driving wheel (8) meshed with the conveyor belt (2), and that the pressure receiving surface (10) of the teeth wholly or partially has contact against at least the outer surface (13) of its own hinge eye (7). Hereby an optimum force transmission to the belt itself is achieved, which occurs by means of the teeth of the sprocket wheel having their application of force at the hinge eyes, thus making the force transmission occur close to the center line of the axis of the hinge eyes, just as there is a good lateral steering of the belt, so that the risk that the belt hops off the toothed wheel is minimized.
