  • Publication number: 20230169604
Abstract: Introduced here is an approach to dynamically authenticating the identity of an individual in a computationally efficient manner. For example, the identity of the individual may be authenticated for the purpose of establishing whether the individual should be permitted to participate in a peer-to-peer transaction. Likelihood of the peer-to-peer transaction being completed successfully could also be determined through weighted analysis of contextual information related to one party involved in the peer-to-peer transaction or both parties involved in the peer-to-peer transaction.

  • Patent number: 10812500
Abstract: A cyberthreat detection method and system includes a distributed file system and a commodity cluster. The commodity cluster has a plurality of servers. A data array of key-value pairs related to social media is received; it stores a plurality of predetermined ground predicates. A ground predicate graph is constructed for each user then partitioned into balanced portions Pi each corresponding to a server and the ground predicates stored on that server. In parallel on each server, a plurality of leaned rules are determined for the files stored on that server. From a union of the plurality of learned rules, the system determines a respective weight for each of the learned rules. The plurality of rules are ranked in order of accuracy by the plurality of weights.

  • Publication number: 20200118215
Abstract: Introduced here are risk management platforms able to provide a variety of insurance services related to the sharing economy. The risk management platforms can collect/leverage data from an array of different sources, dynamically calculate an appropriate personalized price (e.g., for an insurance policy) based on risk, mitigate potential fraud, offer end-to-end digital servicing, etc.

  • Publication number: 20190238564
Abstract: A cyberthreat detection method and system includes a distributed file system and a commodity cluster configured in data communication via a network, wherein the commodity cluster is defined as a plurality m of servers, each including a computer processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium. The system and method includes receiving a data array characterized by a key and a value in a set of pairs relating to social media posts and users, storing a plurality of predetermined ground predicates, constructing a ground predicate graph for each user reflected in the array, constructing a user centric graph having one or more vertices and one or more edges and wherein each vertex represents the ground predicate graph corresponding to each user. The method includes partitioning the user centric graph into balanced portions Pi corresponding to the number of servers and wherein the ground predicates of each vertex in partition Pi are stored as a file on a server associated with that partition Pi.

  • Publication number: 20050015713
Abstract: Collecting and augmenting metadata associated with media content stored on a plurality of devices for display to a user. The collected metadata remains available (e.g., visible) to a user after the device storing the corresponding media content is offline, disconnected, or otherwise unavailable. In particular, the invention permits metadata associated with media content stored on one or more devices (e.g., consumer electronic devices) to be enumerated, obtained, and promoted into another device (e.g., a personal computer) such that the metadata may be treated as if the media content is stored on the other device (e.g., the personal computer). In particular, the invention automatically detects an event generated in response to an action by a first device storing a media file. In response to the detected event, the invention matches and obtains metadata for the media content stored in the media file. A user organizes or otherwise manipulates the obtained metadata, for example, via a media player.
