  • Publication number: 20080140018
Abstract: A medication delivery system, comprising: a movable part (230, 232) adapted to move relative to a stationary part; at least two conductors (234, 236) which are arranged such that an electrical characteristic is defined by the mutual position of the movable and the stationary part and/or by movement of one of said parts relative to the other; and a detector for detecting a change of said electrical characteristic, wherein the parts are stationary relative to each other during dose setting and in that the parts are moved relative to each other during dose ejection, such that that detector provides a signal indicative of the actual amount of the ejected dose.

  • Publication number: 20070196898
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel subtilases from wild-type strains of Bacillus, especially the Bacillus strains ZI344, EP655, P203, EP63, ZI120, ZI130, ZI1342 and ZI140, and to methods of construction and production of these proteases. Further, the present invention relates to use of the claimed subtilases in detergents, such as a laundry detergent or an automatic dishwashing detergent.

  • Publication number: 20060243804
Abstract: This invention relates to a container (10) for a medication delivery (110) device comprising an optical reader (111), where said container comprises a code information element (20) carrying a set of information readable by said optical reader where the container comprises at least one more code information element (20) carrying the set of information readable by said optical reader. The invention further relates to a method of applying code information elements onto the container and to a method of reading a code information element. The code information elements can be aligned with at least one protrusion on the container, or are aligned with at least one cavity on the container. Alternatively or additionally, the code information elements are juxtaposed to one another. Hereby, an optical code reader, embedded in the medication delivery device, will be able securely to read the information carried by means of image processing software compiling and combining more code information elements.

  • Patent number: 7067252
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for screening for compounds secreted by an organism, comprising (a) raising antibodies against secreted products of a donor organism, (b) providing a gene library from the donor organism, (c) cloning the gene library into a suitable host organism, (d) expressing the cloned genes in the host organism, and (e) detecting positive clones, which upon expression of the cloned genes secretes a compound, using the antibodies of (a) to identify such positive clones. The invention also relates to compounds, nucleotide sequences and microorganisms identifiable by said method.

  • Publication number: 20060118612
Abstract: The invention relates to a marking of cartridges, carpules or any kind of package. The marking can be in an electronically readable form while being transparent. Hereby a marking with improved security for avoiding reading errors which ensures a mandatory visual inspection of content is obtained. The transparent conductor can be in form of a polymer, an ITO and the like. These transparent conductors are used in an improved marking technique, which further improves reading security. The invention may e.g. be used in connection with medication delivery devices for self-treatment of a disease, e.g. diabetes.

  • Publication number: 20050095669
Abstract: The present invention relates to an isolated mutant eubacterium comprising at least one mutation resulting in a substitution of at least one amino acid in the beta-subunit of the RNA-polymerase encoded for by the rpoB-gene providing an altered production of a product of interest when said production of a product of interest is compared to the production of the same product in an isogenic wild type strain grown at identical conditions, wherein the substitution of at least one amino acid occurs at any of the positions 469, 478, 482, 485, or 487 of SEQ ID NO:2, or at the equivalent positions in any eubacterial RNA-polymererase beta-sub-unit family member. Another aspect of the invention relates to a process for producing at least one product of interest in a mutant eubacterium and to a use of the mutant eubacterium according to the invention for producing at least one product of interest.
