  • Publication number: 20060134148
Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid sustained release suspension dosage forms comprising ionized forms of water-soluble drugs. In particular, the invention encompasses a liquid form controlled release drug composition comprising a dispersed phase comprising an ion-exchange matrix drug complex comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable ion-exchange matrix and a water-soluble electrolytic drug associated with the ion-exchange matrix, wherein the surface charge of the ion-exchange matrix is opposite that of the electrolytic drug wherein the dispersed phase further comprises a non-electrolytic, soluble component having low molecular weight and a diffusion controlling membrane and a dispersion medium substantially free of diffusible counterions, further comprising an excipient capable of associating with water and impeding water activity such that drug dissolution is inhibited prior to administration. The invention also provides methods for preparing such compositions and methods of treatment.

  • Patent number: 6688178
Abstract: A roller transducer assembly comprises at least one core section and each core section comprises a transducer. Oil is retained within the roller transducer assembly and in particular an oil kerf isolates each core section from an outer portion of the roller transducer assembly having a nylon roller tube which is surrounded by a urethane tire outer covering. The outer portion of the roller transducer assembly rotates about each stationary core section. A pair of the ultrasonic roller transducer assemblies are arranged to provide signals for generating an ultrasonic image of an article such as a board or a log passing between the pair of ultrasonic roller transducer assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20020116833
Abstract: A means of extending the useful length of standard spirit levels currently in production and in use throughout the world. The length extension hardware is comprised of pairs of extender sleeves which fit over the core level to be extended and provided with means to secure the configuration at any selected length between the minimum and maximum lengths attainable with the core level and extender sleeve set being employed.

  • Patent number: 5886738
Abstract: A covert surveillance system for viewing images from a remote location is provided. The surveillance system provides a mirror, lens and camera arrangement within a small enclosure which allows full 360 degree pan, tilt, zoom, focus and iris control from a remote location. The system receives control commands such as rotate left, zoom out and tilt down via a radio receiver, and controls the camera accordingly. Images viewed by the camera are transmitted to a remote receiver for display on a monitor, or for recording. Continuous camera rotation is achieved by use of a specialized conductive drum which provides continuous electrical contact between camera signals and camera control. In one embodiment, the surveillance system is mounted in place of a photo detector in a street lamp, making the camera virtually undetectable.

  • Patent number: 4187772
Abstract: A stamp carrier on which a plurality of elastomeric stamps are mounted for the marking of lumber and other products. In a stamping operation, an appendage of the carrier flexes to assure desired presentation of the stamp to the surface. The carrier is of molded construction and utilizes resilient materials of different hardness to avoid distortion of the stamp when the latter is applied other than in a true manner to the product.
