  • Patent number: 10364476
Abstract: A method and device for producing a press-quenched part having a rim hole with a collar formed at the periphery of the rim hole includes inserting a temperature-controlled die into the rim hole of the part. The temperature of the temperature-controlled die is controlled such that the temperature of the part in a region of the collar is held above the martensite start temperature of the material from which the part is made. While the temperature of the collar is being held above the martensite start temperature, the remainder of the part is press quenched.

  • Patent number: 10315389
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a blank-shaped or strip-shaped semi-finished product comprising at least one first metal layer and at least one plastics layer, which are joined over their full area to one another to form a metal/plastic composite. The material thickness of the metal layer is not more than 1.5 mm. The material thickness of the plastics layer is at least 0.2 mm. A method for producing said product is also provided. One object of the present invention, of providing a semi-finished product which is significantly lighter than the semi-finished products used in the prior art, is achieved for a semi-finished product.

  • Publication number: 20180134008
Abstract: A strip-shaped, plate-shaped, or sheet-shaped semi-finished product may include a particle-reinforced steel material. The particle-reinforced steel material may be connected integrally and over an entire surface area on one or both sides to at least one layer comprised of a non-particle-reinforced metal material. The at least one layer may have a thickness of between 0.2% and 20% of an overall thickness of the semi-finished product and, in some cases, between 0.5% and 15%. The non-particle-reinforced metal material may comprise steel, structural steel, or high-grade steel, for instance. Further, the semi-finished product may be produced by way of cladding or casting.
