    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for multi-channel communications are disclosed. A method provides precoding, based on sounding reference signal received from a communication device, reference signal ports in spatial and frequency domain by determining pairs of spatial and frequency domain components where the frequency domain components are arranged in clusters comprising one or more frequency domain components, and pairing of at least one of the spatial domain components with at least two clusters of frequency domain components is enabled; sending information of the precoding to the other communication device; and combining the precoding with a report of precoding received in response from the other communication device. Another method provides sending of the sounding reference signal; receiving, the information of the precoding; performing port selection operation based on the clustered information of frequency domain components; and preparing and sending the report based on the selection operation.

    Abstract: Techniques of generating CSI reports include designating at least one of the reports as a reference and the other reports as dependent on the reference. For example, a dependent CSI report may have a differential value of a CSI quantity rather than a raw value of the CSI quantity. Because generally for parameters in a CSI report, the differential quantity has a smaller range of values than the raw values of the CSI quantity, a quantization of the differential value of the CSI quantity will have fewer bits than the raw value; for example, for L1-RSRP, the raw value has 7 bits while the differential value has 4 bits. In another example, a dependent value of a CSI quantity is a flag indicating that the CSI quantity value is located in a reference CSI report.

    Abstract: Techniques of performing CSI reporting include identifying a cluster of TRPs sharing common information in their CSI and transmitting a complete CSI report to a selected TRP of the cluster while transmitting partial CSIs reports to other TRPs of the cluster. Along these lines, in an example implementation, a UE receives a CSI-RS from a network, with the CSI-RS carrying a plurality of reference symbols from a plurality of TRPs. Based on the plurality of symbols, the UE generates TRP data representing CSI feedback for each of the TRPs. From the CSI feedback, the UE identifies, as a cluster, a subset of the TRPs that share common information within the CSI feedback.
