Abstract: A method and system for sharing content between web clients. Specifically, a client computes and transmits its displayed content and web client state to one or more other web clients, which display the content. This enables the web clients to share the exact displayed content, even in the presence of dynamic modifications of the content local to the client.

Abstract: A visualization tool for displaying the geographic location and connectivity of nodes within a network. More specifically, a method and apparatus determines a geographic position of each node in a plurality of nodes within a data network; determines an icon to represent each node in the plurality of nodes; overlays each of the icons onto a geographically accurate map, where each icon is position at the geographic position for the node represented by the icon; determines node connectivity; and overlays, upon the geographically accurate map, a graphical link between pairs of icons representing node connectivity. In this manner, a network operator is provided a geographically accurate view of a data network including nodes and the connectivity of the nodes.

Abstract: Layer-3 communication, within a sub-network using a common forwarding agent's sub-network interface and without layer-2 communication, is enabled by a network device configured with the MAC address of the forwarding agent. The network device intercepts an ARP request from a sending device intended for a receiving device. The network device sends an ARP reply containing the MAC address of the forwarding agent to the sending device. The forwarding agent receives the ARP reply and forwards data-packets received from the sending device to the receiving device through layer-3.
