  • Patent number: 7602794
Abstract: A network device, such as a router or switch, uses multiple forwarding and control processors that operate different protocols or operating systems to route a packet in a computer network. A support stack module determines which processor a packet is routed to and converts the packet format, if necessary, for compatibility with the processor. When a packet is directed to a control processor, its associated support stack module simulates the forwarding plane interfaces. After processing the packet is routed onto the network.

  • Publication number: 20080222565
Abstract: A system for providing a graphical user interface to a user of a building automation system via a client is provided. The building automation system includes a plurality of building devices. The system includes a processor and memory communicably connected to the processor. The memory includes computer code for controlling the plurality of building devices. The memory further includes computer code for providing the graphical user interface to the client. The memory unit further includes computer code for generating a plurality of user interface elements for providing to a single view on the graphical user interface, each of the user interface elements associated with a task relating to a building device.

  • Patent number: 7257643
Abstract: A method and apparatus to route information in a network is described. A technique is described to search for routine information that uses a first technique on at least a portion of a first value of a network address and a second technique on at least a portion of a second section of an address. In particular, the first value is associated with an aggregation identifier, and compared to a unique prefix. In this way, address identifiers may be generated, and this identifier is used to search for routing information.

  • Patent number: 7039018
Abstract: A method and apparatus to search for routing information is described. According to an embodiment, a technique is described to search for routing information that uses a first technique on at least a portion of a first section of an address and a second technique on at least a portion of a second section of an address. In one embodiment, a best-match technique, such as a Longest Prefix Match technique, is used on at least a portion of a topology section of an address, and an exact-match technique is used on a portion of an interface ID of the address.

  • Patent number: 7020844
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus that streamlines the process of prescribing and acquiring medical imaging experiments and data processing applications. The present application provides a modular intuitive and guided workflow having a graphical user interface that may be tailored and made singular and unique for each individual application. The user interface implements a guided management tool that incorporates the general principle that user activity is more efficient when it begins in the upper left-hand portion of the screen and proceeds horizontally across the screen moving from left-to-right and top-to-bottom. The user interface incorporates a number of tabs wherein each tab corresponds to a major prescription step. The tabs are aligned vertically along the left side of the user interface and are used to modularize the application workflow.

  • Publication number: 20030095144
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus that hierarchically prioritizes scan parameters of a medical imaging application on a per scan basis. The present invention prioritizes the scan parameters to define a dependence relationship for each scan parameter. By defining this relationship between the scan parameters on a per scan session, the present invention can notify a user of an invalid scan parameter input. A graphical user interface is provided to facilitate entry and/or modification of scan parameter values and is likewise configured to notify the user of parameter invalidity.
