  • Publication number: 20230300621
Abstract: A method of computer authentication of a user request for a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card transfer by a biometric signature from a user equipment (UE) comprising assigning a risk score, by a mobile service provider, to a user account based on user activity in the user account, wherein the user activity includes a SIM card transfer authorization. The mobile service provider then sends a message requesting a biometric signature from an authentication application executing in memory on the UE. The authentication application on the UE then proceeds capturing a biometric signature, encrypting the biometric signature, and sending an encrypted biometric signature to the mobile service provider using a wireless communication protocol. The mobile service provider then compares the biometric signature to an authorized signature and modifies the risk score based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 11418940
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for mitigating denial of service attacks in a communications network. Based on a determination that requests to access an E11 resource exceeds a threshold, it may be determined that a denial of service attack attempt is occurring. One or more mitigation protocols can be used to block, filter, or re-route attempts that are associated with the denial of service attack. Association with the denial of service attack can be identified based on a distance between the user devices associated with the requests and a time period for which the requests were originated.

  • Patent number: 10825462
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for optimizing call quality and improving network efficiency by reducing bandwidth requirements at the individual-voice-call level. Embodiments provided herein build vocal fingerprints that correspond to the frequency range of the human voice, as well as the frequency range of the voice of individual users. The vocal fingerprints are used minimize and reduce the transmission of background noise and ambient sound captured using HD voice while retaining the frequency range of a user's voice in HD voice. This filtered HD voice frequency range is then transmitted to recipients over the network. The reduced frequency range lowers bandwidth usage and conserves network resources, all while optimizing the call quality for individual users.

  • Patent number: 10171290
Abstract: A method for correcting connectivity failures of core applications on a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The method comprises a client detecting a plurality of request-reply message sequences between a core application and a corresponding server, and learning a set of request-reply message sequences within the plurality of request-reply message sequences that are not producing a connection error with the corresponding server. The method further includes creating a series of ghost replies that each mimic a reply that is one of the set of learned replies coming from the corresponding server and not producing a connection error, and then retaining the series of ghost replies. The method then includes detecting at least one connection error between the core application and the corresponding server, and feeding a ghost reply to the core application.

  • Patent number: 9712664
Abstract: Systems and methods discussed herein are employed in a cross-platform notification system configured to send a series of notifications to devices and/or subscription services associated with an account where a payment is due. These notifications may be sent to an increasing number of devices and/or subscription services as time passes from when payment was due, and the iterations of notifications may take up progressively more of a graphical user interface and/or be displayed for an increasing period of time until a final notification is sent, after which point access to telecommunications services and subscription services, except for emergency functions, accessed through the telecommunications service provider are no longer available to users associated with the overdue account.

  • Patent number: 9705857
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein include methods, systems, and devices to help a UE to securely output a copy of a security key stored on the UE. According to examples, a UE receives a test security key from a provider. Based on the received test security key, the UE computes a test result, and then the UE transmits the computed test result to a network authentication system. The UE receives from the network authentication system a response indicating a match between the computed test result and a test result computed by the network authentication system. Based on the received response indicating the match, the UE outputs a copy of the security key stored in the UE to the provider.

  • Patent number: 8185144
Abstract: In a method for managing a target system from a Push-to-Talk station, a Gateway receives a request to manage the target system from the Push-to-Talk station. The request includes an identifier for the Push-to-Talk station and an identifier for the target system. A push-to-talk call session is established between the Push-to-Talk station and the Gateway. A second communication session is established between the target system and the Gateway using an appropriate protocol supported by the target system. The Gateway Transformer translates messages from the Push-to-Talk station into formats and protocols registered for use with the Push-to-Talk station for controlling and querying the target system.
