  • Patent number: 6098289
Abstract: Dry-shaving apparatus comprises a drive provided in a housing (1) and at least two parallel shaving units (13, 14, 15), each having a respective outer cutter (16, 17, 20), an inner cutter (21, 22, 34) and at least one biasing element (31, 32, 33, 45). In order to improve contact with the face during use, the biasing element (31, 32) of one shaving unit (13, 14, 15) has a characteristic which differs from that of the biasing element (33) of a further shaving unit (13, 14, 15), which characteristic is such that under the effect or a force applied externally to the shaving units (13, 14, 15), motion can be performed by said one of the shaving units (13, 14, 15) relative to the further shaving unit (13, 14, 15).

  • Patent number: 4514618
Abstract: An axially compact hairdryer includes a cylindrical housing having an air inlet and an air outlet at opposite ends thereof. An electric motor is centrally mounted within the housing by a pair of spaced apart support grates secured to the housing perpendicular to the air flow and a cylindrical heating element support body is carried by the support grates and located in concentric spaced relation between the housing and the motor. The heating element is wound about the support element. A fan is operatively connected to the motor for moving air from the inlet to the outlet over the heating element. Air directing vanes are attached to one of the support grates between the motor and the fan.

  • Patent number: 3933276
Abstract: A dispenser for use in dispensing a product in heated condition from a pressurized container. The dispenser includes a main housing for removably receiving and holding the container and a heat exchanger assembly mounted in the main housing and spaced apart from the container. The heat exchanger assembly comprises a cup-like mass of a heat conductive material and includes an elongated passageway in its wall of a depth substantially equal to that of the wall and extending from the inlet to the outlet of the heat exchanger assembly. The product is directed in a single predetermined direction through the elongated passageway from the inlet to the outlet of the heat exchanger assembly. Further, an electrical heater is disposed along the inner wall of the cup-like mass and a circuit for connecting the heater to a source of power is provided.
