  • Patent number: 8023958
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for providing location services whereby location determination and location disclosure are treated as separate and independent processes. Location determination may be performed (as necessary) via a first set of network entities to obtain location information for a mobile station. The location information may be cached for subsequent disclosure to any number of applications. Location disclosure may be performed (when requested) via a second set of network entities to provide the location information. Location determination may utilize a first security procedure for authentication and authorization and to obtain a first session key used for location determination. Location disclosure may utilize a second security procedure for authentication and authorization and to obtain a second session key used for location disclosure. For a roaming mobile station, location determination may be performed via a serving network and location disclosure may be performed via a home network.

  • Publication number: 20080174804
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and system of transmitting print information from a client computer to one of a plurality of print fulfillment centers over a wide area network that features selecting one of the plurality of print fulfillment centers based upon print attributes. To that end, the method includes generating a print request that produces a visual display, on the client computer, of a printer driver interface to communicate with a printer driver in furtherance of producing a transcription of print data. Print attributes are entered into a printer driver, as well as billing and shipment information. A print transaction file is generated with the printer driver. The print transaction file includes the print data, print attributes and the billing and shipment information. The print transaction file is transmitted to one or more of the plurality of print fulfillment centers over a wide area network. • Publication number: 20080104678
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamic home address assignment by a home agent in multiple network interworking. The invention provides a method and apparatus send a key authorization request from a mobile station to a network device, the request indicating that the mobile station wishes to use a foreign agent care-of address to continue to receive data. The network device assigns a temporary address to the mobile station and creates a security policy database for the mobile station. The mobile station receives agent advertisements from foreign agents that may be able to provide service. The mobile station registers with a foreign agent. The network device then modifies the security policy database to reflect the information of the foreign agent. The Home Agent then assigns a home address to the mobile station and the network device updates the security policy database to include only the mobile device's home address as a selector.
