  • Publication number: 20240129069
Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured to operate in a radio access network (RAN). Such methods include receiving, from a radio node in the RAN, a new feedback indicator (NFI) that indicates whether acknowledgement signaling previously scheduled for transmission by the UE was received by the radio node. The acknowledgement signaling is associated with one or more first downlink (DL) hybrid ARQ (HARQ) processes. Such methods include, when the NFI indicates the acknowledgement signaling was not received by the RAN node, selecting a first HARQ codebook to be used for encoding the acknowledgement signaling together with further acknowledgement signaling associated with one or more second DL HARQ processes. Such methods include, using the selected first HARQ codebook, encoding the acknowledgement signaling and the further acknowledgement signaling to obtain first encoded information and transmitting the first encoded information to the radio node via an uplink (UL) channel.

  • Publication number: 20240107585
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for restricting autonomous uplink transmissions by a wireless device in a wireless communication system such that wireless devices performing autonomous uplink transmissions can coexist with wireless devices performing scheduled uplink transmissions in a cell requiring Listen-Before-Talk (LBT). In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, from a radio access node, an indication of which subframes belong to a same channel occupancy within a cell that requires LBT and restricting performance of autonomous uplink transmissions by the wireless device based on the indication of which subframes belong to the same channel occupancy. By restricting autonomous uplink transmissions in this manner, the wireless device can coexist with scheduled wireless devices in the same cell.

  • Patent number: 11843938
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a first communication node operating in a wireless communications network. The first communication node adjusts a value of a Contention Window, CW, from a first value to a second value, the second value being a higher value than the first value, wherein adjusting the value is based on: one or more feedback timers having expired at a time of performing a sensing procedure in the absence of: a) a received uplink, UL, grant from a second communication node, or b) a downlink feedback from the second communication node for an Autonomous Uplink, AUL, transmission from the first communication node. Following adjusting the value, the first communication node initiates a sensing procedure performed prior to a transmission of an UL burst to the second communication node, wherein the sensing procedure uses the adjusted value of the CW.
