    Abstract: A heater with several common and inexpensive parts can be used in different vehicles having different heating requirements. Heating partition members for receiving and fixing PTC elements and non-heating partition members are substantially the same. The partition members are spaced apart at substantially equal intervals between a pair of frame members. Metal heat exchange fins are placed in a heat exchange air flow passage adjacent to the heating partition member. A resin dummy member is placed in non-heat exchange air flow passage located between non-heating partition members. The number of heating elements can be varied to suit vehicles of different sizes.

    Abstract: An electric heat emitter is disposed at a predetermined position in a heat exchanging core portion having a plurality of tubes and corrugated fins. The electric heat emitter includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate which are insulated from the heat exchanging core portion. An electric wiring cover made of resin having a positive electrode wiring member and a negative electrode wiring member is attached to an outlet tank of the heat exchanger. The positive and negative electrode plates connect to the positive and negative electrode wiring members respectively. Thus, the electric current is supplied to the electric heat emitter through an electric circuit insulated from the heat exchanger, thereby preventing metal parts of the heat exchanger from being electrically corroded.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic clutch is disposed between a drive source and a driven device for connecting and disconnecting the drive source to and from the driven device, respectively. The electromagnetic clutch includes a body rotatable by the rotative power from the drive source and an armature faced to, but normally spaced from the rotatable body. An exciting solenoid when energized moves the armature into an engaging position where the armature is attracted and urges against an end face of the rotatable body. A bearing is disposed between a fixed member of the driven device and the inner peripheral surface of the rotatable body for rotatably supporting the rotatable body on the fixed member. A cylindrical cover member is fixedly mounted, independently of the bearing, on a portion of the inner peripheral surface of the rotatable body between an axial end face thereof and the bearing.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic coupling apparatus for interrupting power transmission is disclosed in which a terminal of a magnet coil for attracting an armature to a rotary body is connected with an electrical terminal of an electric connector directly outside of a fixing member without using a lead wire or the like therebetween. A stopper is secured in direct contact or with a small gap to a recess formed at part of the fixing member, thus preventing the rotation of the yoke including the magnet coil.
