    Abstract: An anti-loosening device for a fastening unit of a motor-vehicle wheel is configured to be coupled with a wheel hub. The anti-loosening device is configured to be arranged within the wheel hub along an axial direction, so that a main axis of the anti-loosening device coincides with the wheel axis. The anti-loosening device includes a gear arranged to cooperate with inner teeth of the wheel hub, an elastic element extending axially with respect to the gear, and a coupling element obtained on a sector of said gear, arranged to receive a corresponding fastening. During assembly of the wheel—hub assembly, the anti-loosening device is arranged to create a compressed configuration, wherein the gear is decoupled with respect to the inner teeth, and is arranged within a cavity portion obtained on the inner surface of the wheel hub, so as to allow rotation of the anti-loosening device around the main axis.

    Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes a master cylinder. In a delivery line of the master cylinder there is a pressure transfer device, which generates a pressure in a hydraulic actuating line of a respective brake device following a fluid pressure communicated to a first inlet of the pressure transfer device from the delivery line and/or following a fluid pressure supplied to a second inlet of the pressure transfer device from an electrically-operated fluid pressure source. An electronic controller controls an enabling/disabling solenoid valve, and the electrically-operated fluid pressure source to create different operating modes of the system. The system does not include any vacuum-operated servo-assisting devices. The master cylinder is associated with a hydraulic device for adjusting the feeling on the brake pedal, in which a fluid pressure is generated that opposes the brake pedal actuation. The electronic controller controls the pressure in the device for adjustment of the feeling on the pedal.

    Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes a controller that receives signals from sensors associated with vehicle disc brakes, which allow detection of a parameter indicative of a degree of noise generated from each disc brake. When noise generation is detected, the controller activates a noise attenuation function of a first type if the vehicle is braking, and of a second type if the vehicle is not braking. The first type involves reducing actuating pressure of a fluid actuator associated with the disc brake for which noise generation is detected. The second type involves temporarily activating, while the vehicle is running and not braking, the fluid actuator associated with the disc brake which is generating noise. The controller also receives signals indicative of vehicle operating parameters which allow conditions to be defined in which priority is given to vehicle safety, and in which the noise attenuation function is excluded.

    Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes an assistance device having a vacuum pump driven by an engine for communicating vacuum to a chamber of the assistance device. A control valve is interposed along a fluid line between the pump and the chamber. The control valve is in its first operative condition, where the inlet side of the vacuum pump communicates with the chamber, when pressure within the chamber is above a predetermined value; and is in its second operative condition, where the inlet side of the vacuum pump communicates with the atmosphere, when pressure within the chamber is below a predetermined value. In this second condition the pump intakes air from and feeds air into the atmosphere, thereby reducing the energy consumption by the engine required for driving the pump during stages where, within the chamber, there is a vacuum sufficient for the regular operation of the braking system.

    Abstract: A brake disc for motor-vehicle disc brakes, includes a body with a hub and two opposite annular planar faces, wherein at least one of these faces is formed with one or more lines defining a surface irregularity, in the form of grooves or ribs, which extend between a radially inner edge and a radially outer edge of the respective face, so as to substantially cover the entire radial extension of the face. A height of the surface irregularity along said lines is less than 0.30 mm, so that during use, the lines defining the surface irregularity disappear, due to wear of the respective face, after an initial fraction of the life of the brake disc. During this initial stage, the lines defining the surface irregularity reduce the time necessary to obtain a bedding of the disc brake with respect to a case of a brake disc devoid of the lines.
