Patent number: 11931017Abstract: A tool actuation connector includes a tool activation interface, a longitudinal lock interface and a rotation lock interface. The tool actuation connector includes a latching spring, an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve. The latching spring includes a plurality of spring hooks, for coupling with the tool activation interface. The inner sleeve is operable to longitudinally move relative to the latching spring. The inner sleeve couples the latching spring to the activation interface when the inner sleeve is located over the latching spring and releases the latching spring from the activation interface when the inner sleeve moves away from the latching spring toward the proximal direction. The outer sleeve is rotationally locked with the inner sleeve and is operable to longitudinally move relative to the inner sleeve. The outer sleeve is further operable to rotationally lock with the tool via the rotation lock interface.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2019Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: VALUEBIOTECH ISRAEL LTD.Inventors: Nir Geffen, Avraham Rami Lore, Eldar Cohen, Alexander Mikler, Paul Price, Antonello Forgione, Renzo Zaltieri

Patent number: 11883006Abstract: A link for an articulation arm includes a vertebra, two outer bearing portions, two inner bearing portions and four control bore holes. The vertebra has a first base and a second base. The two outer bearing portions are formed on the first base and are located on a radial line of the first base. The two inner bearing portions are formed on the second base and are located on a radial line of the second base. The two of the four control bore holes enter the second base and exit a respective one of the outer bearing portions. The other two of the control bore holes enter the first base and exit a respective one of the inner bearing portions.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2019Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: VALUEBIOTECH ISRAEL LTD.Inventors: Nir Geffen, Avraham Rami Lore, Eldar Cohen, Alexander Mikler, Paul Price, Antonello Forgione, Renzo Zaltieri

Patent number: 11116595Abstract: A guiding and support device, particularly for a robot for minimally-invasive surgery through a single parietal incision and/or natural orifice, includes mutually associated rigid bodies, and stiffening elements associated with the guiding and support device and adapted for the transition of the device from an inactive configuration, the rigid bodies can move with respect to each other, to an active configuration, in which the rigid bodies are mutually aligned so as to define a rigid guide, and vice versa. The device further includes elements for combined rotary and translational motion which are adapted, in the active configuration of the guiding and support device, to translate and/or to rotate a robot.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2016Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: VALUEBIOTECH S.R.L.Inventors: Louis Judah Jauvtis, Nicolò Donella, Renzo Zaltieri, Federica Iovine, Filippo Righetto, Alberto Giovanni Pansini, Antonello Forgione

Patent number: 10675102Abstract: A robot configured for mini-invasive surgery through a single parietal incision and/or natural orifice includes at least one articulated support, a stiffening component, and at least one maneuvering element. The articulated support includes a plurality of rigid bodies that are mutually associated. The stiffening component is associated with the articulated support and adapted for the transition of the articulated support from an inactive configuration, in which the rigid bodies can move with respect to each other, to an active configuration, in which the rigid bodies are mutually aligned so as to form a guide, and vice versa. The least one maneuvering element can be associated slidingly with the guide of the articulated body in its active configuration and can engage selectively a plurality of operating instruments accommodated in at least one container body that can be associated with the articulated support in its active configuration.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2014Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: VALUEBIOTECH S.R.L.Inventors: Antonello Forgione, Louis Judah Jauvtis, Renzo Zaltieri

Patent number: 10583569Abstract: An articulated device for robotic systems includes three rigid bodies. The first rigid body is configured to rotate about a first rotation axis with respect to a rigid base body. The second rigid body is configured to rotate about a second rotation axis with respect to the first rigid body. The third rigid body is configured to rotate about a third rotation axis with respect to the second rigid body. The first, second, and third rotation axes coincide in at least one point which defines the center of rotation of the articulated device.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2015Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: VALUEBIOTECH S.R.L.Inventors: Nicolò Donella, Alberto Giovanni Pansini, Federica Iovine, Louis Judah Jauvtis, Renzo Zaltieri, Antonello Forgione, Filippo Righetto
