In one embodiment, the keypad assembly comprises: an embossed keypad including a top and bottom surface, the embossed keypad including a plurality of embossed keys on the top surface; a capacitive sensor layer located below the bottom surface of the embossed keypad; an actuator located below the capacitive sensor layer and moveable between a first position and a second position; and a driver configured to cause the actuator to move between the first position and the second position in response to the detection of the presence of an object near to or touching an embossed key in the embossed keypad.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system, method and device for providing information relating to a received communication for a device. The method comprises: while the device is composing an outbound communication, monitoring for receipt of an inbound communication; upon receipt of the inbound communication, evaluating a subject field of the inbound communication against a subject field of the outbound communication to determine whether the inbound communication is related to the outbound communication; and if the inbound communication is related to the outbound communication, generating a first message on a display of the device providing a warning indicating that the inbound communication has been received and when a send command is activated on the device for the outbound communication generating a second message on the display providing a command for merging the inbound communication with text of the outbound communication.

Abstract: An electronic device and method for suggested recipients for a message being composed is described herein. Input of a partial recipient identifier is detected in a recipient identifier entry field of a message composition screen. In response, an initial set of suggested entries is presented, matching the partial recipient identifier. At least one suggested entry is a combination of recipient identifiers specified in a previous message, where at least one recipient identifier of the combination of recipient identifiers matches the partial recipient identifier. The entries may be suggested for either a direct addressee field or an indirect addressee field. Suggested entries may also be suggested based on a match with a subject line input in the message composition screen. As the partial recipient identifier or input subject line is updated or changed, the suggested entries are likewise updated.

Abstract: Plural modes of operation may be established on a mobile device. Specific modes of operation of the mobile device may be associated with specific spaces in memory. By associating the existing certificate store structure and key store structure with a mode of operation, certificates and keys can be assigned to one space among plural spaces. Furthermore, management (viewing/importation/deletion) of certificates associated with specific modes of operation may be controlled based on the presence or absence of a mobile device administration server and the status (enabled/disabled) of an IT policy.

By using a “class” designation within the existing certificate store structure and key store structure, certificates and keys can be assigned to one space among plural spaces. Accordingly, a personal certificate store and a personal key store may exist in a personal space. Similarly, a corporate certificate store and a corporate key store may exist in a corporate space. APIs designed to work within such a system may be arranged to employ a “class” attribute when managing certificates and cryptographic keys.

Abstract: In various aspects, the disclosure describes systems and methods for decoding of convolutionally encoded signals representing, for example, telecommunications signals such as command or content signals used in digital telecommunications. In various embodiments such aspects of the disclosure provide systems and methods for improving the efficiency, speed, and power consumption of such processes by providing architectures and methods for processing various parts of the encoded data records in parallel, using multiple and optionally specially-designed, dedicated memory registers and multiplexers.

Abstract: In order to facilitate the modulation of speech delivery to a participant that is driving or otherwise performing a parallel task, a feedback mechanism is incorporated in order to inform the remote participant of the progress of the delivery of his/her speech at their end of the conversation. In this way, the remote participant is both aware of the modulation occurring at the other end and can adjust their speech to adapt to the current conditions, using the feedback as a guide.
