Publication number: 20130023289Abstract: A location based service and system wherein a database includes customer records each mapped to customer location information. A user device launches a request to the server. The request includes user device location data, from the user device location data, a geopositional frame about the user location is calculated and used to search customer location information in the database and to retrieve customer records within the geopositional frame corresponding to the launched request.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2012Publication date: January 24, 2013Inventor: Richard A. Gorgens

Publication number: 20120330930Abstract: A method includes loading an application on a user device wherein the application is configured to receive information requests and to launch search requests utilizing a web mapping service with a local search feature. After launching a search request via the application, the user device receives search results from the web mapping service. At the application, the results are analyzed to ascertain if a search result corresponds to an information request. Such data is added, when not already present, to the database.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2012Publication date: December 27, 2012Inventor: Richard Gorgens

Publication number: 20120233351Abstract: A method of directing network traffic wherein a router IP address is registered and associated with at least one website address. At a user device, a domain name request is made via that router. This request is directed to a virtual network server configured to ascertain the registered website address associated with the router IP address. The user device is then automatically redirected to request the registered website address. The user device is then served one or more web pages associated with that website address.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 29, 2012Publication date: September 13, 2012Inventor: Richard Gorgens

Patent number: 4234932Abstract: A banking system is provided which is comprised of a central computer, a customer accounts main memory, and plural remote transaction terminals in communication with the central computer. Each remote terminal includes a cash dispensing apparatus, a personal identification number (PIN) signal generator, a random number (RN) signal generator, a security device and a cash dispenser. The communication paths from the RN and PIN signal generators to the security device are wholly contained within the remote terminal and inaccessible to would-be thieves. The remote terminals also include data entry devices activated by a customer to provide a PIN number, a PIN OFFSET number bearing a predetermined relationship to both the PIN number and a customer information file (CIF) signal stored in main memory, and other banking information. In response to a customer-initiated operation, a remote terminal supplies bank transaction and customer identification information to the central computer.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1978Date of Patent: November 18, 1980Assignee: Honeywell Information Systems Inc.Inventor: Richard A. Gorgens

Patent number: 4075460Abstract: A cash dispensing system having a central computer and associated memory for maintaining customer account records, a plurality of remote transaction terminals and a communication path connecting the remote terminals with the computer. Each of the remote terminals includes a signal generator for generating data representative of a desired transaction in response to a customer-initiated operation, and for transferring that data to the computer via the communication path. The computer includes means responsive to the transaction data to generate a customer information file (CIF) signal and to transfer that signal to the remote terminal. The CIF signal is representative of a predetermined number associated with the customer. Each remote terminal includes a cash dispensing apparatus which includes a personal identification number (PIN) signal generator, a security device, a PIN signal transfer means, a CIF signal receiving means, and a cash dispenser.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1975Date of Patent: February 21, 1978Assignee: Incoterm CorporationInventor: Richard A. Gorgens

Patent number: 4025905Abstract: A branch banking system for on-line processing of banking transactions which is responsive to customer-initiated and teller-initiated operations and comprises a plurality of remote branch office terminals and a central controller for establishing transaction validity, maintaining transaction records and customer data. Each branch office terminal includes a branch controller in communication with the central controller and an associated plurality of branch teller stations, each including a teller unit and an associated set of peripheral units. Each teller station includes a teller data display which is responsive to the central controller, by way of its associated branch controller, to display alphanumeric data representative of the transactions.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1975Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Assignee: Incoterm CorporationInventor: Richard A. Gorgens

Patent number: 3961160Abstract: An apparatus for reading a digital data word stored on a manually inserted card. The card includes a digital data word comprising a plurality of encoded characters stored on the card in the form of a two dimensional data matrix. The card reader includes a linear array of row data detection elements and an array of one or more rows of column data detection elements, each row being disposed perpendicular to the array of row data detection elements. As a card is inserted into the reader, the column data detection elements detect and store the data bits for each of the characters from the rows of the data matrix as those rows pass the column data detection element array. A circuit means coupled to the row and column data detection arrays identifies the detected column data with the corresponding rows of the data matrix which are currently overlying the column data detection array. Following full insertion of the card into the reader, the complete data matrix may be read out from the card reader memory.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1974Date of Patent: June 1, 1976Assignee: Incoterm CorporationInventor: Richard A.
