  • Publication number: 20240371279
Abstract: Systems and methods of providing improved solutions for aviation transport networks, particularly for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, are provided. For example, a method for generating a network of skylanes for eVTOL aircraft travel in a particular geographic area includes accessing airspace data (e.g., aircraft track data and/or restricted zone data) defining an available portion of the particular geographic area for the eVTOL aircraft travel. The airspace data is used to compute skylane route data for a particular skylane defined by a plurality of waypoints in three-dimensional space between a first vertiport location and a second vertiport location for the eVTOL aircraft in the particular geographic area. The skylane route data can be added to a network of available skylanes and selected for deployment of a particular eVTOL aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20240371275
Abstract: A method of assigning an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to a skylane includes accessing: (i) a trip request for aerial transport at a particular travel time from an origin location to a destination location within a particular geographic area; and (ii) skylane network data indicative of a plurality of skylanes for eVTOL aircraft travel in the particular geographic area. A subset of the plurality of skylanes are computed as candidate skylanes for servicing the trip request. The candidate skylanes are determined based on a route assessment configured to evaluate an operating constraint associated with respective skylanes relative to parameter data for the particular geographic area at the particular travel time. A selected skylane is computed from the candidate skylanes for servicing the trip request, and a trip assignment is generated for deployment of an eVTOL aircraft from the origin location into the selected skylane.

  • Publication number: 20220148437
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating communication between a number of different computing devices are provided. A service entity that provides a multi-modal transportation service can collaborate with a number of different devices via a vehicle integration interface over a number of different frequencies or networks. The vehicle integration interface includes a number of endpoints. Each endpoint corresponds to a device type associated with a number of devices operated according to a unique protocol. The service entity obtains a communication or provides a message to a respective device via a respective endpoint of the vehicle integration interface. The service entity determines a device type associated with a received communication based on a respective endpoint and translates the communication based on the device type. The translated communication is aggregated with information received from a number of different devices configured to operate and communicate according to a number of different protocols.

A system includes simulation entity agents defined to represent the behavior of multi-modal ride-sharing agents (e.g., aerial vehicle, ground vehicle, air traffic controllers, etc.) and world data representing a world environment within which the simulation entity agents may operate. The system obtains agent data indicative of a simulation aerial vehicle and world data indicative of a particular simulated world environment. The system determines scenario data including a scenario definition defining a simulation scenario and generates a simulation instance based on the scenario data. The simulation instance includes the simulation aerial vehicle within the simulated world environment. The simulation aerial vehicle can have access, within the simulation, to one or more backend services of a transportation services system configured to facilitate an aerial transportation service.

  • Patent number: 10438149
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method and computer readable medium capable of verifying healthcare encounters. In one embodiment, an electronic verification process is described which may utilize geographical information to determine the proximity of a health care worker to the patient during a scheduled healthcare visit. The proximity information may then be compared to a threshold value and an electronic signature screen may be presented to the patient based upon the results of the comparison. In one embodiment, a time stamp may be generated and stored to provide confirmation as to the time that the patient's electronic signature was obtained via the electronic signature screen. Verification information stored by the system may be used to simplify the verification process, hasten payments to healthcare organizations and protect against healthcare fraud.
