  • Publication number: 20230285086
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein to generate a 3D surface scan of a surface profile of a patient's anatomy. The 3D surface scan may be generated by reflections of structured light off the surface profile of the anatomy. The 3D surface scan may be used during intra-operative surgical navigation by a localization system. Optionally, a pre-operative medical image may also be registered to the localization system or used to enhance the 3D surface scan.

  • Publication number: 20230232140
Abstract: A metallic product such as an audio speaker cover and a related method of manufacturing that has a surface with a cloth-like appearance, yet allows the passage of sound. The metallic audio speaker cover has a base of expanded metal with polygonal openings or woven wire through which the sound may pass, the openings being defined by filaments that provide structural strength; a pretreatment film that adheres to the expanded metal base, and one or more multi-color powder coating films that adhere to the pretreatment film. In some embodiments, the film also has anti-microbial properties.

  • Publication number: 20230158413
Abstract: An electronic device may be configured to present a user interface via which a user can select from a plurality of commands associated with a particular video game. In response to a selection of one of the plurality of commands, the electronic device may transmit the selected one of the plurality of commands to a user interface device. The selected command may cause said user interface device to transmit a corresponding one or more simulated user inputs to a game console. The selection of the command may occur automatically in response to detection, by audio processing circuitry, of an occurrence of the particular audio clip in an audio signal output by the game console.

  • Publication number: 20230125713
Abstract: A crown plug for a tree of an oil/gas well/wellhead has a securement arrangement for securing the crown plug within the tree. The main body of the crown plug comprises a solid body creating the barrier within the production bore. The solid body creates a robust, strong and reliable barrier. The crown plug is retained within the outer member through inward distortion which secures the crown plug. The securement arrangement arises from an inward radial force that distorts the outer member inwardly to grip a component located within the outer member. The outer member elastically deforms and the outer member returns to a released position once the clamping force is released. Two concentric oppositely arranged tapered surfaces move axially to create the inwardly directed force. The clamping force and the solid body together provide an improved crown plug which is easy and reliable to operate.

  • Patent number: 11591452
Abstract: Emulsifier particles and methods for making and using same. The emulsifier particles can include an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid terminated fatty amine condensate, an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a modified tall oil, or a blend of an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid terminated fatty amine condensate and an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a modified tall oil. The emulsifier particles can have a BET specific surface area of about 0.3 m2/g to about 1 m2/g. The method for making the emulsifier particles can include reducing a size of an emulsifier solid via a mechanical attrition process to produce the emulsifier particles.

  • Publication number: 20220287619
Abstract: A method for detecting and identifying a patient physiological response includes stimulating, via a stimulating electrode coupled to a patient, one or more nerves of the patient. The method includes recording, via a recording electrode coupled to the patient, a plurality of resultant electrical waveforms. The method includes determining, based on the plurality of resultant electrical waveforms, whether at least a subset of the plurality of resultant electrical waveforms includes a patient physiological response. The determining includes comparing the subset of resultant electrical waveforms of the plurality of resultant electrical waveforms to a model waveform from a database of a plurality of model waveforms. The determining includes determining, based on the comparison, a comparison feature. The comparison feature indicates whether the patient physiological response exists in the subset.

  • Patent number: 11287550
Abstract: Embodiments relate to leads and polynyas forecasting. Initially observed ice forecast data is obtained for a geographic area of interest, which is then used to generate an ice grid based on the observed ice data, where the ice grid includes grid cells that map polar regions. At this stage, daily opening rates are determined based on the ice grid, where each daily opening rate indicates an opening speed of a corresponding ice event, and daily convergence strain rates are determined based on the ice grid, where each daily convergence strain rate indicates a convergence of the corresponding ice event. For each day, a daily opening rate is weighted and then adjusting by a daily convergence strain rate. A forecasted opening rate on a target date is determined based on the weighted, adjusted daily opening rates. Predicted openings of the polar region can be rendered based on the forecasted opening rate.
